[Bug 255741] [NEW] network-manager-vpnc does not work with NM 0.7
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: network-manager-vpnc Now that network-manager was upgraded to 0.7, the vpnc plugin no longer functions. I cannot create a vpn profile, nor are my existing vpn profiles (created under NM 0.6) functional. These packages (and their *-gnome pairs) probably need to be rebuilt for NM 0.7. I would expect that network-manager-openvpn is also affected. ** Affects: network-manager-vpnc (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Description changed: Binary package hint: network-manager-vpnc - Now that network-manager was upgraded to 0.7, the vpnc plugin no longer function. + Now that network-manager was upgraded to 0.7, the vpnc plugin no longer functions. [Bug 522982] Re: No Sound on Lenovo W510 / T510
You can verify the functioning of the hardware via the bootable diagnostic CD available for download on the Lenovo support site. I have the same problem with no sound on my T510 - but in my case it was due to meltdown of my left speaker. To verify if this is true for you too, follow the service manual instructions for removing the keyboard and top casing to expose your speakers. In my case, I noticed visible melting of the underside of the plastic case that sits above the speaker, and a discolored and "crispy" speaker head. I also noticed that the wires for the speaker are suspiciously taped to the copper heat sink. I'm not sure how much heat could possibly transfer through the insulation and through the wiring to the speaker - but it seems like an odd assembly choice anyway. While I personally did not witness the meltdown happen (I do remember my speakers working initially, but I usually use headphones), those folks that did witness the meltdown claim the overheating happened while the machine was off. This raises my suspicions that the always-on USB port might be to blame - it may be worth disabling this feature in the BIOS, just to be safe. -- No Sound on Lenovo W510 / T510 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/522982 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 618587] Re: eclipse does not work with appmenu
I agree with Nikita. Vertical space is just as precious a commodity for programmers with big laptops as it is for lay-users with tiny netbooks, especially for these, now ubiquitous, 16:9 screens. -- eclipse does not work with appmenu https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/618587 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1227202] Re: Unexpected freezes Saucy
For what it's worth, I haven't encountered a hard freeze using zram with both the 3.12-rc1 and rc2 kernels. Using the 3.11.x kernels from the official repository, I am able to trigger a system lockup very easily (e.g. running several Eclipse instances, or compiling a large project, etc.) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1227202 Title: Unexpected freezes Saucy To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1227202/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
