To Thomas Whm. Try killing wpa_supplicant and try that again. If that doesn't work also kill networkmanager. This will give an idea on where the problem might be as I see it. [Bug 56561] Chopped off paths in helper applications
Public bug reported: In firefox, when selecting a helper application I found a slightly annoying bug. Reproduce like this. 1) Click on a link that requires you to launch a helper application. 2) Choose "Open with" and that "Choose" button 3) Press / to be able to type the path to the application. Now when you begin typing the path it will autocomplete for you, even the application-name, however if you just press enter when when you get the application-name it won't work. Only the part that you've typed yourself will be the application that is tried (like /usr/bin/kaf instead of /usr/bin/kaffeine). It is possible to work around by adding a space at the end which will complete the auto-complete for you but that's not exactly intuitive, especially not when the complete path to the application is visible on the screen for you. ** Affects: firefox (Ubuntu) Importance: Untriaged Status: Unconfirmed -- Chopped off paths in helper applications https://launchpad.net/bugs/56561 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 54450] The updater doesn't tell the problem.
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: adept I get the little update notifier icon and I click on it. It tells me that it needs to upgrade some packages, I click OK and do the normal stuff. Then I get the error message: "There was an error commiting changes. Possibly there was a problem downloading some packages or the commit would break packages." Then "Update complete, good bye". [Bug 156606] Kmail selects old mail after "fetch".
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: kdepim After a "fetch" operation on my IMAP server kmail automatically selects the email that was open when I last exited the application. If the application has been open for a while this means that the selected email could be a quite old one. What I'd expect is that kmail should remember which mail I was looking at or perhaps select the newest "already read" email. Definitly not the email that was selected when I closed the application the lst time. ** Affects: kdepim (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Kmail selects old mail after "fetch". https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/156606 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Team, which is a bug contact for kdepim in ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs

[Bug 150930] Re: Black screen, and bad usplash.conf
I have the same problem, but I actually get an INVALID SCAN FREQ message on the black screen, presumably from the monitor (Hitachi CM772). Checked usplash.conf, and has 1024x768, well within the monitor capabilities (max 1600x1200 @ 85 Hz). So it may be a problem with the frequency setting, and not the resolution as such, which might explain why it sometimes disappears when reducing the resolution and other times not. [Bug 152916] Dragging todos to calendar doesn't fill the timeslot
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: kdepim In Kontact I've been dragging items from my todo-list into the calendar. It works as expected but for some reason the graphics doesn't reflect the time. All items from the todo-list gets a 30 min slot in the calendar, which is a fair default. If I then edit the calendar view and increase the time I'd expect to see a bigger "field" in the calendar, which I don't. Instead the "half-hour" field is located at the end of the time I specified. Example: If I drag and drop a todo-item into a slot, say "Watch a movie" into 12:00 in the calendar, it'll put a half-hour field there, the movie however is slightly longer so I'll edit-click the item in the calendar and add the "start-time" as 10:30 instead. Now there's no visual cue that the movie starts at 10:30 but only a "half-hour" field at 12:00. I hope I'm making sense or that you can reproduce this issue from all my rambling. Thanks for listening. A fresh install will show two (2) "Default KOrganizer resource" which will double the entries in the todo-list. It is possible to remove one of them but that shouldn't be the first thing that a user has to do to get a "normal" todo-list. Granted it's not a big issue, but it's a bit more polished to include "sane" default values. ** Changed in: kdepim (Ubuntu) Status: Invalid => New -- korganizer doubles todo-entries https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/144415 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 56433] Re: Right-click-menu connected to wrong application
The problem apparently comes from the fact that "Kexi" is installed by default in Ubuntu Feisty. Kexi depends on koffice-data which installs the files "Presentation.desktop", "SpreadSheet.desktop" and "TextDocument.desktop" into /usr/share/templates, which will link them to the menu in konqueror. The .desktop-files contain references to a file in /ush/share/templates/source/ which seems to be the template itself. I don't really know how to fix this without breaking something. Suggestions welcome. ** Also affects: koffice (Baltix) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Also affects: koffice (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Right-click-menu connected to wrong application https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/56433 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Team, which is a bug contact for kdebase in ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
