[Bug 34505] Re: Wireless network interface (ipw2200) does not have IP address after boot
The issue seems to have become worse for me as not even dhclient will get me an IP address after boot on my ipw2200 (Dell Inspiron 1300). The only resolution to the problem is opening networkconfig and decativating then reactivating the wireless card. That will make it get an IP address but only then will that work. -- Wireless network interface (ipw2200) does not have IP address after boot https://launchpad.net/bugs/34505 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 138533] Re: nautilus panels are not clickable after login
Sorry for lack of resp - was without www for a few weeks. Problem is still there with the latest updates of Gutsy (completely up to date and synch) despite upgrading most of the packages involved. Another issue crops up if I do a ctrl-alt backspace X restart - when I logon again (without rebooting the system as a whole) gnome-panel will not appear at all (but the desktop will still be there). [Bug 226524] [NEW] Sound STILL not working
Public bug reported: I upgraded my Ubuntu distro to 8.04, but i have this problem since 7.10 version: sound doesn't work properly. In previous versions sound worked with some issue: I could open audio once a time (for example i could listen audio from an internet page only if there wasn't anything that used sound). And that was a golden age. Now, with 8.04, sound doesn't work at all. Only Rithmbox runs without problems, but with all the other applications there's no sound. When i open an audio or video file, it starts to do some BEEEP. VLC sometimes plays audio for a few seconds, then starts to beeps. It isn't a beep, but a beeping rustle. Please help me! I've tried everything: refreshing kernels or removing and installing for a second time the alsa files. I've tried all the official and unofficial guides to resolve audio problems, but nothing worked. It's a big matter: i need to resolve this problem, because i have no other way to watch videos or listening audio files and i can't remove and re-install ubuntu! I'm in your hands. I don't know what I have to post for help you to help me. Just ask, I'll do. [Bug 173265] Re: Xorg crashed with SIGSEGV
the new Deb doesn't fix it here either - and it's present in alpha 2. A bit of a shame - I guess Vesa is the only option to keep it functional at the mo' :( I've also found that the gnome-panel becomes unclickable (and becomes blank) - not sure if it's related but it seems to be linked with maximising the video windows while trying to figure out the crash. Strangely even restarting X does not resolve the issue so I've put myself a link to gnome-terminal on the Desktop -- Xorg crashed with SIGSEGV https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/173265 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 173265] Re: Xorg crashed with SIGSEGV
Just to clarify the workaround - it's actually stopped working properly. For some reason gdm login is in the correct screen format but as soon as I log on it goes to something non widescreen and warped. Still workable (typing on it now) but not a perfect workaround yet. -- Xorg crashed with SIGSEGV https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/173265 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 84446] Re: crash after latest update
** Description changed: - This is for beryl-core , I had to select "I don't know" because it said - that it doesn't exist yet there where other reports similar to mine with - beryl-core. In the other crash reports people have said that it was with - a nVidia card. But I have a ATi 9600xt and am using XGL and my version - is edgy. Not only is it crashing on start up but it will cause my system - to freeze up and the only way to get out of it is to reboot. When I'm in - a gnome session and I try to start beryl it will do the same thing. - After a little while it will cause my system to cease up. And even if I - go ctrl+alt+f1 and try to run beryl and then go back to gnome it will - cause my system to freeze up. I have a crash file but I don't know how - to attach it.
