[Bug 380933] [NEW] installer fail at 82 percent
Public bug reported: Symtom Installing 9.04, the installer stops at 82 % when it is "searching for file mirror". ( i waited for 30 minutes ) I was finally able to install, by pressing: ctrl + alt + f2 sudo killall http sudo killall http , yes twice, it stopped again right after at another process ( sorry forgot name of that one ) then the installer was able to completed. then in firefox i was able to access google.com but not any other homepages i tried. how ever i was able to ping ... any site .. and nslookup was also working. with help from #ubuntou channel on freenote i was able to after several houers of looking around one guy was talking about MUT, and i founed that after changing MUT from 1500 to 1400 i was then able to access all pages again. now this fixed the internet access, and i suspect this was also the problem causing the installer to fail ... so i tried to install again, this time with the eth0 disconnected. and that worked without any problems. i am not a linux pro or anything so i dont know if you need anymore system info or anything like that. then you welcome to let me know. -Morten Hundevad ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- installer fail at 82 percent https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/380933 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Not sure how to recreate it. I am using default system. I have not installed many extra things other than few php and android developing tools and play on linux and steam and things of that nature. compizconfig -> general -> display settings -> Register output by default this is checked (detect_outputs) if i check this then the error happens where monitor 1 and two "over lap". and appear as one. [Bug 1382462] Re: Desktop/windows painted incorrectly in dual monitor configuration
well i figured out what you meant by ccsm it is just the manager.. but i am still unable to find the setting you referee to ? Is it "detect_outputs" ? if so.. what do i need to put in the output array ? Currently it is: 1680x1050+0+0 left is 1920x1080 (built in) right is 1920x1200 (external) I do not know what to put in the array ? i cant find info about it anywhere. and if i change it and reboot or logout and back in .. it seems to be "reset" and not there anymore. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1382462 Title: Desktop/windows painted incorrectly in dual monitor configuration To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity/+bug/1382462/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
