[Bug 672139] Re: Drag and Drop from Firefox to Ubuntu Writer pastes HTML source

2013-01-30 Thread Michael Zaugg (OAS)
The reporter suggests Firefox as the source of the problem.
This seems to be false because if you drag and drop selected text from Firefox
into Gedit or even into Abiword no source code is shown. Drag and Drop from
Firefox into LibreOffice on Windows works so it seems to be a linux specific
bug in Libreoffice.
I could reproduce this behaviour also in other distributions when drag and
drop Website-text into *any* LibreOffice component.
I change the target to LibreOffice.

** Package changed: firefox (Ubuntu) => df-libreoffice

** Summary changed:

- Drag and Drop from Firefox to Ubuntu Writer pastes HTML source
+ Drag and Drop from Firefox to LibreOffice pastes HTML source

[Bug 672139] Re: Drag and Drop from Firefox to LibreOffice pastes HTML source

2013-01-30 Thread Michael Zaugg (OAS)
@Christopher: I do not agree with your comment/ status change.

This bug is not about copying text-only into LibreOffice but about
LibreOffice showing the *sourcecode* of dragged text from a Website. If
I select Text on a Website, then Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V in LibreOffice the
behaviour is as expected.

This bug has a wider affection when it comes to the use of the research
tool Zotero [1]. When you try to drag and drop citations into a
LibreOffice document you get the citations with the source code into the
document [2,3].

This bug exists only in the Linux-Versions of LibreOffice.

[Bug 956405] Re: Unsupported updates (backports) enabled by default

2012-12-10 Thread Michael Zaugg (OAS)
Backport enabled by default ist not a bug. Its a feature:

"Backports are now more easily accessible -- to enable users to more easily
receive new versions of software, the Ubuntu Backports repository is now
enabled by default. Packages from backports will not be installed by default —
they must explicitly be selected in package management software. However, once
installed, packages from backports will automatically be upgraded to newer
versions. "

[Bug 754562] Re: soffice.bin crashed with SIGSEGV in g_hash_table_lookup() (Libreoffice with lo-menubar crash from page preview)

2013-01-07 Thread Michael Zaugg (OAS)
Precise, LO LibreOffice 3.5.4.2, Build-ID: 350m1(Build:2)

I had to delete '.config/libreoffice/3/user/extensions' after updating to
proposed lo-menubar (0.1.1-0ubuntu0.1).
Otherwise the menu was not integraded into panel and LO-Menus where not
available via HUD.

[Bug 995040] Re: "Error: HUD service not connected" when opening HUD

2013-06-28 Thread Michael Zaugg (OAS)
Seems to be an issue with Unity 2D. When logging out choose Unity
Session an log in HUD is availiable.

[1] says HUD is not available in Unity 2D and names a repo for 2D packages with
enabled HUD.
Should the title of this bug renamed to '"Error: HUD service not connected"
when opening HUD in Unity 2D'?

Did anyone with this issue try to (re-)install indicator-appmenu?

  sudo apt-get install indicator-appmenu

After this (re-login first) HUD also worked on Unity 2D.
