[Bug 184743] Re: Can't install flashplugin-nonfree on Gutsy
Well Flash was recently updated while the installer package was not and it simply can't recognize the new version. There is an updated version in Hardy but due to dependency problems it won't do us no good. As a temporary measure you can use the Debian updated packages available here: for i386: http://http.us.debian.org/debian/pool/contrib/f/flashplugin-nonfree/flashplugin-nonfree_9.0.115.0.1_i386.deb for x86_64: http://http.us.debian.org/debian/pool/contrib/f/flashplugin-nonfree/flashplugin-nonfree_9.0.115.0.1_amd64.deb After updating the package, flash works nicely again. -- Can't install flashplugin-nonfree on Gutsy https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/184743 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 120828] Re: HP nx6310 hibernation issue
The issues I've pointed out here have been resolved with new bios version F.OD and kernel 2.6.22. However new problems emerged which I have described here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-source-2.6.22/+bug/163675 I currently use only Gutsy Gibbon, therefore I cannot track any future changes in Feisty concerning this issue. -- HP nx6310 hibernation issue https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/120828 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 121043] nautilus-sendto broken dependecies - Feisty Fawn
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: nautilus-sendto In Feisty Fawn the package nautilus-sendto depends on Gaim b6, which is in conflict with Pidgin, so if you want to install pidgin you have to remove the nautilus plugin and if you want to keep sendto you have to remove pidgin. ** Affects: nautilus-sendto (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- nautilus-sendto broken dependecies - Feisty Fawn https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/121043 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 93779] Re: Faisty H5 cannot reboot on HP NX6310
Update: After a bit of research I have confirmed that this bug is not related to Ubuntu, but to most new ditros running the 2.6.20 kernel. As I suspected the problem is related to the HP bios which is 'a bit problematic' when it comes to linux. Anyway when I have updated the bios from F.06 to F.0B [newest at this time] the problem ceased to occur and the laptop is able to shutdown or reboot properly. My suggestion is to put this in the official Faisty documentation as HP NX6310 bug and strongly suggest preforming the update before installing Faisty. If the update is preformed after faisty is installed, the system have trouble setting up the system clock, and the boot up takes about 10 sec longer then usual. [Bug 93907] [Faisty]cdrom that does not exist
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: linux-source-2.6.20 Ubuntu Faisty detects a cdrom drive which physically does not exit. I own a HP NX6310 with 1 built-in dvdrw drive and no other optical drive was ever connected. The system, hoverer detects a second cdrom drive named cdrom 1 with exactly the same amount of free space a my root partition. The "drive" is mounted in /media/cdrom and is empty. The bug didn't occur on Edgy/Drapper only on Faisty from H4 [that's the first edition I used] and continue to persist on H5.
