[Bug 301261] Re: No Sound in 9.04
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 299093 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/299093 I now have the same issue, Updated from 8.10 ( sound working ) to 9.04. All packages are latest. Alsa mixer shows the channels are 100. Under sound preferences I have no sound from any Test, and when I click volume control from the panel, device is listed as "Playback: Null output (Pulse Audio Mixer)" Rebooting, unloading / reloading Alsa has made no difference. I do not believe this is a duplicate of bug 299093. That bug was specific to alsa mixer sound levels resetting to 0, which this does not seem to be the case. well, I am also behind a corp file wall, and I use proxy chains for a lot of command line apps; I used it as well for ubuntu one. I setup proxychains; edited the /usr/share/dbus/ files for ubuntuone to not longer launch the execs. I then manually launched the login and syncdaemon with proxychains, then I used the preferences gui to connect, and it worked.
