[Bug 331008] Re: Cursor position is automagically changed/selected
I have a Windows XP installed on the same laptop and it works as usual. 1) Yes, my hands aren't typing the touchpad (if this is the problem, why doesn't have the same problem on Windows?) 2) The laptop is new, i bought 2 months ago. 3) Yes, this work, so i guess is a bug. [Bug 405294] Re: a2dp skips terribly in Karmic
Just wanted to add my two cents worth ... I spent most of the day trying to figure out why this was happening. This is definitely not a PA problem. It also occurs using ALSA with the bluetooth plugin. This is a problem at the bluetooth stack level. As stated above, it appears that it has something to do with the fact both A2DP and hsc are enabled simultaneously. I also was able to work around it using blueman and connecting/disconnecting the different profiles. However, before that I changed some settings on the bluez daemon configuration. Otherwise the blueman trick doesn't work. I have the following settings in audio.conf: #[General] Enable=Source,Control,Sink Disable=Headset,Gateway AutoConnect=false #[Headset] HFP=true MaxConnected=1 And the following link setup (from hciconfig -a) :From this should be able to work out what goes in hcid.conf hci0: Type: USB BD Address: 00:90:CC:ED:35:10 ACL MTU: 310:10 SCO MTU: 64:8 UP RUNNING PSCAN RX bytes:119527 acl:77 sco:0 events:16505 errors:0 TX bytes:4916687 acl:15925 sco:0 commands:553 errors:0 Features: 0xff 0xff 0x8f 0xfe 0x9b 0xf9 0x00 0x80 Packet type: DM1 DM3 DM5 DH1 DH3 DH5 HV1 HV2 HV3 Link policy: RSWITCH HOLD SNIFF PARK Link mode: SLAVE ACCEPT Class: 0x5a010c Service Classes: Networking, Capturing, Object Transfer, Telephony Device Class: Computer, Laptop HCI Ver: 1.2 (0x2) HCI Rev: 0xc5c LMP Ver: 1.2 (0x2) LMP Subver: 0xc5c Manufacturer: Cambridge Silicon Radio (10) hcid.conf: lp rswitch, hold, sniff, park; lm accept, master; I'm running bluez 4.58 and pulseaudio 0.9.19 on a gentoo distro. [Bug 479538] Re: Rhythmbox 0.12.0, current relese fo Ubuntu 9.0.4, doesn't download lyrics and covers
It doesn't work fine neither in 0.12.5 on Karmic, most of the covers are not found even if tags (title/artist/album) are correclty filled, it takes just a few seconds to find those covers on the net. Lyrics are found but for several songs just enabling lyricwiki.org a very short excerpt is downoladed from that site (lyricwiki.org always provides very short excerpts), not enabling it you won't have any lyrics. Try for instance this one: title>Bette Davis Eyes - artist>Kim Carnes - Album>Mistaken Identity, you won't see any cover and just a very small excerpt of its lyrics. [Bug 405294] Re: a2dp skips terribly in Karmic
Another update on my previous post about bluez configuration. It turns out that the key thing here are the settings in hcid.conf: lp rswitch, hold, sniff, park; lm accept, master; and audio.conf: AutoConnect=false; this one to prevent both a2dp and headset profiles connecting at the same time, when you turn it on. Note that what I had previously set in audio.conf: #Enable=Source,Control,Sink #Disable=Headset,Gateway is not a good idea. The 'Disable=Headset' removes the headset profile form the available services on the headphones altogether. i.e. you can't connect to 'headset' anymore. only a2dp. Finally, if you want to have the headset profile work with pulseaudio (for e.g. skype), you need to use blueman, and make sure the bluetooth applet is enabled (in about -> plugins). The a2dp doesn't seem to need this, but the headset profile does. [Bug 1729674] Re: TB16 dock ethernet corrupts data with hw checksum silently failing
Hi. I'm a user of another distro (gentoo), and found this bug while googling for a problem I'm having. I'm using a realtek-based USB3 to RJ45 gigabit adapter. This plugs directly into my laptop (not any sort of hub as with the DELL hubs above), which is a Toshiba Radius P20W-C-103, skylake based, with the following controller: ``` 00:14.0 USB controller: Intel Corporation Sunrise Point-LP USB 3.0 xHCI Controller (rev 21) ``` I am experiencing this on 4.9.79-r1, and also 4.14.22. When I plug the device in, unless I disable power management on USB hubs 3 and 4, I get errors saying 'root hub lost power or was reset'. However, if I disable PM using powertop, I get the device to work seemingly well. But, as soon as I start heavy transfers (in my case distributed compile), the network device stops responding The error messages that I'm receiving are very similar to what is posted above. I'm using a Dell Vostro 1000 and the system doesn't even establish a connection via wired interface. It tries to get an address from dhcp and at the end it disconnects. What information do you need to investigate? The DejaVu font has a condensed variant. You can check for this in gimp, for example, although it is listed as "DejaVu Sans Semi-Condensed" at this time. [Bug 252094] Re: MASTER: Poor graphics performance on Intel
ok ok ok... it is going to sound really weird... look what I did... I was getting really bad fps on glxgears, around 150fps... I wasted all day long trying to figure out how to fix it. I tried to install some new driver... the intel 2.5 and the fps got even worst, around 70fps. So I tried to compile a brand new kernel 2.6.28.7, no success, also add the repository deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/xorg-edgers/ubuntu jaunty main and updated everything, no success neither... when I was almost giving up, I tried to run the glxgears using: sudo glxgears and I got: 3733 frames in 5.0 seconds = 746.500 FPS Ok, it not perfect, but comparing with 150fps, it is awesome. So I figured out that it could be a problem with the user. I went toe the users settings clicked on my user -> properties -> user privileges tab and I found a check box that says capture video from tv and webcam and use 3d acceleration. It was unchecked, so I just checked, log off and log on again, finally everything was working again. My screen savers, 3d games, scroll down on the web browser... it was awesome... My computer specifications are attached. I'm using linux mint 6, but I'm pretty sure it is going to work on ubuntu too since both distributions are the same thing. ** Attachment added: "Screenshot-System Monitor.png" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/23815483/Screenshot-System%20Monitor.png -- MASTER: Poor graphics performance on Intel https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/252094 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
