Make sure that there is only one photo.

Then Open that photo in large (not thumbnail) mode

[Bug 275423] Re: intrepid madwifi ath5k with AR242x not detecting all wireless networks and link speed is very poor

2009-04-20 Thread Lorenco Trichardt
I am seeing this in Jaunty as well. Even now with the latest updates.
It seems to happen when I raom from one AP to the next.

It renders the card useless in that I need to do a hard shutdown (Power
down) in order to reset the card.

It then works again.

2008-11-02 Thread Lorenco Trichardt
I have seen some intermittent lockups (Caps flashing) but have been unable to
determine the cause
I have to hard power down and do not get any errors.

I do see that we have the same screen driver as well

It also happened 3 times when I was working in Firefox

Any ideas ? This might be related ?

[Bug 286792] Re: Fatal server error: lockup

2008-11-03 Thread Lorenco Trichardt
I have seen the same crashes. Weird. Hard lockup, did not happen in Hardy.
I have seen a couple of threads that have these. Maybe there is a link.

I am running a Lenovo T60 With Intel Video driver. Seems to happen whilst
vrowsing the web in firfox a couple of times.
I see no / zero / nada information that shows why. Just a freeze with caps
lock flashing,

I have also seen the x-server infinite loop in the xorg logs
Xorg.0.log:[mi] EQ overflowing. The server is probably stuck in an
infinite loop. But I reckon that is a different issue. But this
happened right after a lockup during reboot

want me to open a new bug for my overflow error ?

[Bug 290654] Re: f-spot crash if file no longer exsist

2008-10-29 Thread Lorenco Trichardt
Sorry should have added this :)
I am running Intrepid with f-spot 0.5.0.3

I happened to create somehow (?) more than one entry for the same Photo
in the catalog maybe during initial import from old fspot and importing
a directory

If I delete one entry the other entry points to a non existing file.
Trying to delete / open or remove the photo from catalog it crashes.

This did not happen every time and I managed to remove most of these
empty entries.

[Bug 320580] [NEW] Jaunty, Intel i945 driver or DRI corrupts Screen output.

2009-01-23 Thread Lorenco Trichardt
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-intel

After the latest changes in Jaunty this afternoon my Thinkpad T60 does not work
with DRI or intel driver.
(Intel Corporation Mobile 945GM/GMS, 943/940GML Express Integrated Graphics
Controller (rev 03))

The symptoms: I get colorful garbage then everthing get's corrupt!
Even alt+f1 = Corrupt text screen. Can login and the reboot.

Going to safe mode and adding
Driver = "vesa" get me to a safe mode (like i am using now)

I tried to revert the Intel Driver to the previous but the same affect.
I also tried reconfigure and a couple of other tricks

please let me know what I canprovide to help trace this problem.

H, those other distro reports might have slightly different causes,
although libical probably shouldn't abort. Please try to obtain a
backtrace following the instructions at
http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProgramCrash and upload the backtrace
(as an attachment) to the bug report. This will greatly help us in
tracking down your problem.

It seems fixed after the following steps:

 * Move ~/.gnome2/f-spot somewhere else
 * Start F-Spot
 * Quit F-spot
 * Copy photos.db from the old f-spot dir to the newly created ~/.gnome2/f-spot
 * Start F-Spot (menus are back)

[Bug 51061] Re: IBM Thinkpad X40 crashes on sleep

2007-03-07 Thread Lorenco Trichardt
I have 2 times T41's. I know that the suspend to RAM works sometimes.
Great improvement but I had trouble to get it awake today in Feisty.

Suspend to disk however works perfectly

Not sure if you have tried Edgy or Feisty on a spare partition... seems
to work a lot better. Maybe even try the Live CD
