[Bug 202126] [NEW] Import dialog should import only selected images

2008-03-14 Thread Laurent Van Basselaere
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: f-spot

I am using F-Spot 0.4.0-0ubuntu3 in Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy Gibbon

In the import dialog, I choose an import source. Previews of pictures available
in that import source are then loaded.
These previews can be selected. When I click on "Import", I expect that only
the selected pictures will be imported.
Instead, all the pictures in the import source (those of which previews are
loaded) are imported.

I believe only the selected pictures should be imported, or the user
shouldn't be able to select pictures before import.

** Affects: f-spot (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: New

[Bug 584898] Re: [i945gm] Duplicated and missing applets in the applet panel on startup

2010-05-24 Thread Laurent Van Basselaere
I cannot confirm the behavior you're describing.
In case of duplicated applets, one of the icons has the expected behavior on
click, but the other one is just not responding to any action.
So, in the scenario of the attached screenshot, I can't access my wi-fi network
manager, even by clicking on the spot it *should* be, one of the bluetooth
icons is working but the other isn't doing anything, and same for the sound
managr applet.

I'm going to test toggling desktop effects to compare.

[Bug 584898] Re: [i945gm] Duplicated and missing applets in the applet panel on startup

2010-05-24 Thread Laurent Van Basselaere
Just deactivated the desktop effects completely. The duplicated applets
disappeared but were not replaced by the missing ones. They left 'blank' spots
in the applet panel instead.
I'm rebooting to see whether I experience the same issue on boot with the
desktop effects deactivated.

[Bug 584898] Re: [i945gm] Duplicated and missing applets in the applet panel on startup

2010-05-24 Thread Laurent Van Basselaere
I deactivated the desktop effects, and rebooted the computer. I tried twice and
had no applet issue. I reactivated the desktop effects and rebooted and the
applet panel now doesn't show the login applet but shows the "IM/Ubuntu" one
applet twice.
The bug seems to be indeed related to desktop effects.
