[Bug 132483] Re: Firefox shows wrong image of same name taken from the cache

2008-10-23 Thread Khristian Alexander Schönrock
I've seen this happen again a couple weeks ago (using Firefox 3 in Intrepid),
but I can't reproduce it.
I think it might be related to when Firefox crashes, so I'm going to try it
when I get back home (I wonder if Flash 10 crashes less than 9 =P ).

[Bug 250089] Re: Gnome keyboard applet layout wrong after reboot - "third level modifier" stuck on

2008-10-06 Thread Khristian Alexander Schönrock
Same thing happening here, with US (us intl with dead keys) and BR-ABNT2
layouts.
And I don't even use application-specific layouts, as my ABNT2 keyboard is an
external USB one.

[Bug 215450] Re: Realtek RTL8139/810x Family Fast not working u(Hardy 8.04)

2009-01-12 Thread Khristian Alexander Schönrock
I can confirm this bug too on Ubuntu 8.10. I have a Foxconn A6VMX
motherboard which has the rtl8101e onboard network adapter, and it is
unable to connect via DHCP on my LG ADSL modem (LAM 400c). The strange
thing is that, when I connect my PC directly to the modem, "sudo
dhclient eth0" says "send_packet:message too long" and can't connect to
anything else anymore until reboot. Now, if I connect the modem to
another machine I have (running Windows XP and with ICS set up), the XP
machine gets a connection, and my machine connected to the XP machine
gets a DHCP address with no further problems.

[Bug 155550] Firefox doesn't recognize the Java Blackdown plugin

2007-10-21 Thread Khristian Alexander Schönrock
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: firefox

On (K)Ubuntu 7.10 amd64, after following the steps in
http://plugindoc.mozdev.org/linux-amd64.html#java-blackdown to get the Java
plugin, Firefox doesn't find the new plugin after restarting.
Then I installed the Swiftweasel browser (swiftweasel.sourceforge.net) for my
system (k8 amd64), and it does find the plugin. Firefox still doesn't.

System (uname -a): Linux kas-laptop 2.6.22-14-generic #1 SMP Sun Oct 14
21:45:15 GMT 2007 x86_64 GNU/Linux, fresh install of Gutsy.

[Bug 157778] Re: [gutsy] Crashing with "Deskbar has unexpectedly quit"

2007-10-27 Thread Khristian Alexander Schönrock
I get the same error, via:
1- gnome-panel freezes
2- kill gnome-panel with -9
3- gnome-panel restarts, and deskbar-applet crashes.

Sometimes the deskbar-applet crashes "on its own", asking the same question, if
it should be reloaded. I removed it from the panel, and it stopped crashing.
Sad, it was the only good enough replacement for Katapult in Gnome.

*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 152362 ***

Just updating to say that the "old" plugin using the blackdown java
works. And I don't know why this has been marked as a duplicate of bug
#152362, since it's not about crashing, but not doing anything.

[Bug 157778] Re: [gutsy] Crashing with "Deskbar has unexpectedly quit"

2007-10-28 Thread Khristian Alexander Schönrock
I don't think it found anything, but, as I type, gnome-panel froze again. And
it only happens when the deskbar-applet is running. Don't know what else could
be conflicting with it.
What I saw was that, when gnome-panel first froze (while running gdb), it froze
while deskbar-applet had an open thread, which closed when I killed gnome-panel.

[Bug 157778] Re: [gutsy] Crashing with "Deskbar has unexpectedly quit"

2007-10-28 Thread Khristian Alexander Schönrock
I found out that the deskbar-applet isn't the responsible for freezing the
gnome-panel, it's Pidgin.
I purged the deskbar-applet via synaptic, now I'm going to nuke pidgin. Sorry
for the waste of time here.

[Bug 132483] Firefox shows wrong image of same name taken from the cache

2007-08-14 Thread Khristian Alexander Schönrock
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: firefox

After browsing a few sites, firefox apparently confuses images in the cache,
displaying them in wrong pages when the filenames are the same.
Example: after viewing two sites which show an imagem called "logo.gif", if I
browse one of them the image "logo.gif" loaded from the cache comes from the
other site. Doesn't happen all the time.

[Bug 159855] Re: xgl reserves for itself huge amount of memory

2008-02-08 Thread Khristian Alexander Schönrock
same behaviour here, kde4 becomes unusable after some time running xgl.
somebody with the newest ati driver should try it (that driver leaves a
lot of artifacts on the screen with my ATI Xpress 1100, so I'm not going
to reinstall that crap).

[Bug 93962] Re: black screen when close session

2007-05-01 Thread Khristian Alexander Schönrock
i'm having the same problem. i just need to start my pc, log in, and then close
the session. the screen will go blank, and ctrl-alt-del or anything like that
won't work. I have to restart the pc to be able to log in again.
But I'm using a Radeon XPress 1100 with the proprietary driver.
TIA,
Khristian
