Those files where collected while using latest image from http://images.maas.io/ephemeral-v2/daily/ and latest juju & maas packages for Trusty from ppa:maas/stable and ppa:juju/stable. [Bug 1590052] Re: juju deploy brings up interfaces in wrong order
Hi. Yes, i can confirm this - adding delay between ifdown and ifup does fix this issue. I needed to use hex editor to actually change juju binary itself to test this. I did replace "--exclude" with "-X" and "--interface" with "-i" and then get enough space to add: import time time.sleep(5) in the script itself. [Bug 1590052] [NEW] juju deploy brings up interfaces in wrong order
Public bug reported: Hi. Upon using "juju bootstrap" for maas environment, deploying first machine get stuck, if machine have only bond interface. I would seem that problem is with add-juju-bridge.py script, which is responsible for changing interfaces file, and bringing them up. In this script, you have: [snip] ifquery = "$(ifquery --interfaces={} --exclude=lo --list)".format(args.filename) print(" Original configuration") print_shell_cmd("cat {}".format(args.filename)) print_shell_cmd("ifconfig -a") print_shell_cmd("ifdown --exclude=lo --interfaces={} {}".format(args.filename, ifquery)) print(" Activating new configuration") with open(args.filename, 'w') as f: print_stanzas(stanzas, f) f.close() print_shell_cmd("cat {}".format(args.filename)) print_shell_cmd("ifup --exclude=lo --interfaces={} {}".format(args.filename, ifquery)) print_shell_cmd("ip link show up") print_shell_cmd("ifconfig -a") print_shell_cmd("ip route show") print_shell_cmd("brctl show") [snip] Problem here is how "ifquery --interfaces={} --exclude=lo --list" returns list of interfaces. If we assume interfaces: bond0 eth0 eth1 sometimes, ifquery will return "bond0 eth0 eth1", and feed this to ifup. Ifup will first try to bring up bond0 - and wait for it! Since nobody will bring up eth0 or eth1 - this waits until infinity. Possible solutions: 1. change add-juju-bridge.py to first bring up ordinary interfaces, then other ones 2. change ifenslave to internally call "ifup " before entering endless loop I'm on trusty (14.4.04 LTS): juju-core 1.25.5-0ubuntu3~14.04.1 ifenslave 2.4ubuntu1.2 Regards, H. ** Affects: systemd (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: add-juju-bridge.py bootstrap ifenslave juju stuck ** Tags added: add-juju-bridge.py bootstrap ifenslave juju stuck -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1590052 Title: juju deploy brings up interfaces in wrong order To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/systemd/+bug/1590052/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1590052] Re: juju deploy brings up interfaces in wrong order
Actually, title should be "juju bootstrap fails with only bonding interface". Anyhow, steps to reproduce are: - stop bond0 - stop udev - try ifup .. eth0 eth1 bond0 Ifup ends up stuck. udev _should_ trigger bringing of other devices, but when ifup is called from add-juju-bridge, it does not work as advertised. Could it be that, because interfaces file is moved, and new one is created, with different content, that udev just get's confused? [Bug 60372] Re: Gnome keyboard shortcuts don't work under enlightenment
If keyboard shortcuts only affect metacity, how come Ctrl-Alt-L works? The problem with Enlightenment's keyboard preferences is that it's unaware of Gnome. [Bug 60085] Setting gtk-key-theme-name in ~/.gtkrc-2.0 doesn't work
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: libgtk2.0-0 Using the line such as: gtk-key-theme-name = "Emacs" in one's ~/.gtkrc-2.0 doesn't introduce emacs-like bindings to GTK applications in Ubuntu. This normally works in GTK2, including the one distributed with Debian. Expected result: Emacs/Unix-style bindings in text entry fields of GTK applications, such as alt-b and alt-f for moving word by word, ctrl-w for deleting a word, ctrl-u for deleting a line, etc. Actual result: no change in GTK's behavior. Using the Emacs key theme is the standard way of getting Emacs and Unix bindings that most people are used to in applications ranging from gaim to Firefox. I discovered a workaround, though: when I pasted the contents of /usr/share/themes/Emacs/gtk-2.0-key/gtkrc to ~/.gtkrc-2.0, I got the effect of having the desired key theme. ** Affects: gtk+2.0 (Ubuntu) Importance: Untriaged Status: Unconfirmed -- Setting gtk-key-theme-name in ~/.gtkrc-2.0 doesn't work https://launchpad.net/bugs/60085 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 60370] Integration with Gnome panel is lacking

For example, if I notice that there are new messages in my gaim conversation window (it blinks in the window list), clicking on the window list doesn't show me the window because it's in another virtual desktop. It works for windows in the same virtual desktop. This is with the "E-Gnome" session, i.e. gnome using enlightenment as window manager. The way I understand it, it should be possible to run Gnome with any EWMH-compliant window manager. I'm not sure whether enlightenment or gnome is the proper recipient of this bug report, since the problem is really in the interaction between the two. Public bug reported: Binary package hint: tar Tar appears unable to uncompress a .Z file (produced with the "compress" utility) without the "compress" binary being present on the system. [Bug 687461] [NEW] DIR/* expansion doesn't work with directories with apostrophe in the name
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: zsh When the directory contains a single quote (apostrophe) in its name, pressing the tab key to expand dir/* into a list of files no longer works. What happens instead is that the tab key doesn't do anything while cursor is inside the dir/* word. This worked as expected in previous versions of zsh. In zsh 4.3.10 (specifically 4.3.10-14ubuntu1, Ubuntu maverick) it works for directories without apostrophes in the name. I discovered it while trying to choose mp3s to queue in a music player, with the mp3s residing in a directory with apostrophe in the name. Here is a recipe to repeat the bug: $ zsh -f mulj% mkdir "a'b" mulj% touch "a'b"/{1,2,3} mulj% ls a\'b/*# press TAB with cursor immediately after the *, nothing happens # pressing enter correctly executes the (expanded) command: a'b/1 a'b/2 a'b/3 mulj% mv a\'b ab mulj% ls ab/* # now pressing TAB with cursor immediately after the * correctly # expands ab/* to ab/1 ab/2 ab/3 mulj% ls ab/1 ab/2 ab/3 ** Affects: zsh (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/687461 Title: DIR/* expansion doesn't work with directories with apostrophe in the name -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 914285] [NEW] "convert -resize @area" sometimes creates image with incorrect dimensions
Public bug reported: I want to resize a number of images to the resolution of 2200x1650 or 1650x2200, depending on whether the image is 4:3 or 3:4 (all source images are in one of those aspects). I have tried a number of geometry specifications and found that the best way to achieve this is to specify the pixel count, i.e. 363 (2200*1650) pixels. However, specifying pixel count of 363 sometimes creates a 2200x1649 image. An example is shown below: $ convert -size 2304x3072 xc:white x.jpg $ identify x.jpg x.jpg JPEG 2304x3072 2304x3072+0+0 8-bit PseudoClass 256c 27.8KB 0.000u 0:00.000 $ convert -resize @363 x.jpg y.jpg $ identify y.jpg y.jpg JPEG 1649x2200 1649x2200+0+0 8-bit PseudoClass 256c 14.4KB 0.000u 0:00.000 I would expect a 1650x2200 image to be created. (Note that the source image has an exact 3:4 aspect ratio.) The bug occurs on 64-bit builds of ImageMagick, but apparently not on 32-bit ones. A workaround is to specify one pixel more, @3630001, which creates the correct 1650x2200 image. Version of ImageMagick used for testing is: $ convert --version Version: ImageMagick 6.6.2-6 2011-03-16 Q16 http://www.imagemagick.org Copyright: Copyright (C) 1999-2010 ImageMagick Studio LLC Features: OpenMP In addition to this version, I have also verified that the bug occurs in the newer ImageMagick 6.7.4-0 2011-12-13 on 64-bit ArchLinux. ** Affects: imagemagick (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Description changed: I want to resize a number of images to the resolution of 2200x1650 or 1650x2200, depending on whether the image is 4:3 or 3:4 (all source images are in one of those aspects).
