[Bug 400362] Re: Synaptic Package Manager closes with segmentation fault
To solve this, execute, sudo rm /var/cache/apt/*.bin apt related cache and index are somewhat problematic, I personally at least experienced twice. Cause is unknown (or it should be fixed now), the solution is to delete cache and index (and execute #sudo update-apt- xapian-index). -- Synaptic Package Manager closes with segmentation fault https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/400362 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 434589] [NEW] Network Manager cannot connect to hidden wireless AP automatically
Public bug reported: Ubuntu 9.10 Alpha, up-to-date. Network Manager cannot connect to my AP. Due to security considerations, my AP does not broadcast its ID. 8.04, 8.10 and 9.04 are all fine with it, the first time I connect to it via the menu "Connect to Hidden Wireless Network...", then it will automatically reconnect to it upon boot up. 9.10 won't connect to it automatically 9 out of 10 times. I can only use the menu. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Description changed: Ubuntu 9.10 Alpha, up-to-date. Network Manager cannot connect to my AP. [Bug 422831] Re: empathy crashes on startup with SIGSEGV
I can confirm this issue, but it is more severe than it seems. When Empathy crashed, the user has already signed in. Maybe a certain library Empathy uses already set to receive Internet traffic. A buddy sent me a message some while later, and the Empathy UI kept showing up and crashing and showing up. It would use up one of the CPU cores. I ended up reboot. -- empathy crashes on startup with SIGSEGV https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/422831 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 451330] [NEW] ubuntuone kidnapped
Public bug reported: After updated all my installed packages for 9.10, every single folder and file, except the special ones like "Music" or "Videos" are marked as ubuntuone-synchronized. See the image attached. Because I disabled the auto-start of ubuntuone client and have never set anything to sync with or to, because you already created a special folder called Ubuntu One in my home, I kindly think this is a bug and not a policy issue. During my 6 years of linux experience, never had a distro done such things to me. Yes, I am a bit angry and annoyed. Given the chance, every corporation will do what Microsoft do? I hope this is a bug and get solved soon. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- ubuntuone kidnapped https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/451330 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
