[Bug 358333] Re: system freeze on facebook surfing
I have the same problem too. My system freezes when i browse on facebook. I looked my system monitor/info and i found that firefox has allocated 920MB RAM(!!) and the swap partition is active. I think we have a huge memory leak here. 1. Login to facebook (with firefox 3.0.9 - 3.0.10, ubuntu 9.04) 2. Open System > Administration > System Monitor from gnome panel and look the memory allocation of Firefox 3. Click on Home button (at facebook) and repeat that 10-20 times 4. Look at memory allocation of Firefox -- system freeze on facebook surfing https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/358333 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 435352] Re: regression: uvcvideo module makes "cannot reset port" error on usb with bison webcam (5986:0203): USB and suspend fails
@ mzc : Yes. Webcam is not working at all. Bluetooth is not working if it's switched off at boot. Any usb device that is not already plugged in at boot will not work. (usb hotplug not working). Basically, it's exactly the same bug. I think the patch that fixed this in 2.6.31-18, was omitted from 2.6.31-19 -- regression: uvcvideo module makes "cannot reset port" error on usb with bison webcam (5986:0203): USB and suspend fails https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/435352 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

@wolfgang: You're probably right. Yes, the patched -18 kernel is in proposed, and -19 comes from security. That explains it. I hope the next kernel release (-20?) when -18 makes it on updates will include the patch for this bug, and the security patches from -19. -- regression: uvcvideo module makes "cannot reset port" error on usb with bison webcam (5986:0203): USB and suspend fails https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/435352 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1237105] Re: HDMI audio stop working after system suspend
I've tested both 3.12-RC4 and 3.11.4 kernels and HDMI audio didn't work at all (it is enabled, pulseaudio shows correct output but no sound comes from the TV). With 3.8.0.31 kernel this behaviour shows up only after suspend. ** Tags added: kernel-bug-exists-upstream ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => Confirmed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1237105 Title: HDMI audio stop working after system suspend To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1237105/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1365416] [NEW] Shutdown during scheduled updates leads sometimes to corrupted dependencies
Public bug reported: I have installed Ubuntu in some inexperienced users and I have activated the "download and install updates automatically". After some months everyone had corrupted dependencies or packages because during the updates installation they shutdown their PCs by ignorance. This leads to not updated packages (which may lead in stability and security problems) till someone using terminal solve those problems (usually with sudo apt-get -f install). Till then updates stop working automatically. I think Ubuntu in case that updates installation is in progress, should wait for the updates to finish (prevent shutdown) informing users about the shutdown delay with a message. Something like Windows 7 do probably. Public bug reported: If you open an unpinned app from dash and during work you move this icon between other pinned icons/apps, it is pinned automatically by its own and stays there after application close. [Bug 1239233] Re: Video playback is like fast forward in 13.10
I found something very interesting. When I disable as default the radeon HDMI audio output from pulseaudio, video playback is normal again. So maybe is related with the strange behaviour I have with kernel 3.11 and 3.12-RC4. HDMI is enabled whether or not I enable "radeon.audio=1" on GRUB but in both cases even though pulseaudio sound level output indicator inside "volume sound control" panel is showing "pulse", TV speakers doesn't produce any sound. ** Summary changed: - Video playback is like fast forward in 13.10 + Video playback is like fast forward in 13.10 when radeon HDMI output is enabled (no sound at all) ** Summary changed: - Video playback is like fast forward in 13.10 when radeon HDMI output is enabled (no sound at all) + Video playback is like fast forward in 13.10 when radeon HDMI audio output is enabled (but no sound at all) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1239233 Title: Video playback is like fast forward in 13.10 when radeon HDMI audio output is enabled (but no sound at all) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1239233/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 939461] Re: commercial PPA's are not working after release-upgrade
Very severe problem. novice users will never handle such a problem. They will end up with an old google-chrome for example and their paid app (ex stormcloud) will never update again. That problem prevents me from suggesting any distribution update and of course with such a small support period for non-LTS releases, i would not recommend anything else but an LTS release for non experimental use of course but for a ordinary desktop. My self returned all my devices to 12.04 LTS so i dont have to reinstall the extra software (to enable the deactivated ppa) every 6 months. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/939461 Title: commercial PPA's are not working after release-upgrade To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/software-center/+bug/939461/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1201229] [NEW] Should be a choice for one graph on multicore CPUs
Public bug reported: It is more than a feature missing than a bug. System monitor should be able to set to display the CPU load in one graph even in multicore CPU. For exaple in a 4 core CPU when one core is loaded 100% and the other 3 are idle, it should be the choice to display that with a number of CPU load 25%. Windows task manager has this ability. System Monitor should have this ability too. ** Affects: gnome-system-monitor (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1201229 Title: Should be a choice for one graph on multicore CPUs To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-system-monitor/+bug/1201229/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1201229] Re: Should be a choice for one graph on multicore CPUs
I am using 3.4.1 on 12.04 LTS. Yes this is close to what i would like to see. So it would be good to have the option to set it to display the percentage of total CPU use instead of each 4 cores use for example. Like Windows task manager. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1201229 Title: Should be a choice for one graph on multicore CPUs To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-system-monitor/+bug/1201229/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
