What does happen: For many packages up to 4 identical entries are shown for each package. See attached screencap. In fact, so much so, that selecting one of a duplicate for an operation such as install/upgrade/remove etc selects and then operates on all the duplicate entries as well. [Bug 1402551] Re: High memory usage of Xorg and kwin after Xorg security updates [nvidia]
All that had their version bumped by the security fix. Have noticed something interesting. Increased Xorg memory usage here seems to be somewhat related to using Chrome/Chromium (or based upon) browser with hardware accelerations enabled in the advanced options. Each time I launch an instance it increases Xorg memory usage by ~ 30MB which is not released when the application is closed. Disabling hardware acceleration seems to eliminate that and I get very little or much slower degrading of Xorg memory usage. I would suggest this might be worth reporting to Nvidia? https://devtalk.nvidia.com/default/board/98/ as seems possible it is their drivers not liking the fixed Xorg as much as it could be a bug in any other part of the graphics stack. [Bug 1091510] Re: [Raring] Laptop gets stuck when plugging in the power connector
Well, it still could be a newly introduced bug in the linux kernel rather than a bug in jupiter that is the root cause here. However, with development on the applet halted it may be a somewhat mute point unless another application also exposes the same behaviour? For reference, in case this does rear it's head in another form: >From testing the daily builds of the mainline kernel a few days back, my problem started with a commit some time after 27d7c2a006a81c04fab00b8cd81b99af3b32738d (built on 06/12/2012) and had appeared by the next days kernel build (07/12/2012) with commit 18a2f371f5edf41810f6469cb9be39931ef9deb9. [Bug 1131487] Re: ia32-libs removed by last dist-upgrade (raring)
Have you got the proposed repository enabled? And/or have mismatched package versions available between i386 and amd64 libs? That was the problem on one of my machines. i.e. that one of the packages wanted for dual arch had failed to build for one of the architectures, meaning that the same package version could not be installed for both i386 and amd64. Hence an error in unresolved dependencies that required removal of ia32-libs etc. (proposed repo in raring should not be enable by default, as such mismatches are possible in it.) Solution for me was to downgrade anything from proposed and with version mismatch, disable proposed repo, distupgrade and reinstall i32-libs. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1131487 Title: ia32-libs removed by last dist-upgrade (raring) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ia32-libs/+bug/1131487/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1027380] Re: Resume From Suspend Unresponsive with Quantal 3.5.0-5 kernel on Quantal
Well, that is a RC1. So as the above bug wasn't introduced until the RC7 kernel, the fact that the RC1 is not effected is not surprising. Can you try with a post RC7 build? i.e. such as the daily build in the link I posted earlier. That is the most recent mainline build, in which the bug from the RC7 it is supposedly fixed. If that works OK, then when the kernel team rebase to the next RC8 and upload ubuntu kernel based on that the problem should resolve itself without anyone having to do anything more. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1027380 Title: Resume From Suspend Unresponsive with Quantal 3.5.0-5 kernel on Quantal To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1027380/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
