Have you got the proposed repository enabled? And/or have mismatched package versions available between i386 and amd64 libs?
That was the problem on one of my machines. i.e. that one of the packages wanted for dual arch had failed to build for one of the architectures, meaning that the same package version could not be installed for both i386 and amd64. Hence an error in unresolved dependencies that required removal of ia32-libs etc. (proposed repo in raring should not be enable by default, as such mismatches are possible in it.) Solution for me was to downgrade anything from proposed and with version mismatch, disable proposed repo, distupgrade and reinstall i32-libs. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1131487 Title: ia32-libs removed by last dist-upgrade (raring) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ia32-libs/+bug/1131487/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
