[Bug 352197] Re: ata timeout exception with ahci libata driver (was with 2.6.28-11, but i confirmed it affewcts previous kernels too)
I can confirm this bug on my Dell Vostro 1710 running Jaunty (2.6.28-11-{generic,server}). It occurs only once on every boot, when GDM starts (and thus does its prefetch), provoking a ~30s blank screen with heavy disk activity before the login screen. [Bug 129183] [Gutsy] System freeze when bringing up rt2500pci interface
Public bug reported: With latest rt2500pci driver (from linux-ubuntu- modules-2.6.22_2.6.22-9.22), the system freeze after enabling CTS protection on the interface I've tracked down the problem to this upstream (git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/ivd/rt2x00.git) commit : c69ad028b683289fba89ce4a8aa34dddbcf32ce2 Reverting those changes fix the freeze and the system is working properly. The problem is that lowlevel drivers (rt2400pci.ko, rt2500pci.ko, rt2500usb.ko, rt61pci.ko, rt73usb.ko) are not built, only the high level drivers (rt2x00lib.ko, rt2x00pci.ko, rt2x00usb.ko) are. [Bug 110933] "Socket credentials not supported on this OS" when trying to connect to gnome-keyring-daemon
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-keyring When tying to connect to gutsy's gnome-keyring-daemon (0.8.1-2), either from gnome-keyring-manager or from nm-applet, I get a "Socket credentials not supported on this OS" error. I've tracked it down to a miscompiling caused by the current buggy linux-libc-dev (2.6.22-1.3) : the file /usr/include/asm-i386/socket.h is not included from /usr/include/asm/socket.h, so the SO_PEERCRED constant is not defined. The fix should be a rebuild when a fixed linux-libc-dev will be available. ** Affects: gnome-keyring (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- "Socket credentials not supported on this OS" when trying to connect to gnome-keyring-daemon https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/110933 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 37452] Re: fusion mpt sas driver does not find a RAID1 disk during installation(Sun Galaxy X4200 and X4100, Dell SASR5/i)
Hi Zachary, As mentioned earlier in this thread, I could successfully install LTS on a Poweredge 860 by applying a bunch of patches backported from 2.6.16 (see earlier my posts for the list) Here is the path I've followed : - patch and build the sources corresponding to the installer's kernel (2.6.15-26-386) - patch and build the sources of latest LTS linux-server (2.6.15-61-server) - launch the installer - when the network is up and running, upload (via ssh) the mpt modules from the 2.6.15-26-386 patched kernel into the installer's filesystem - depmod, modprobe - finish the install - before the reboot, upload and install (in the chroot) the 2.6.15-61-server linux-image package I've setup a repository containing the latest packages with the patches applied (2.6.15-61sdrik) : deb http://cedric.gabriello.fr/ubuntu dapper misc Cédric -- fusion mpt sas driver does not find a RAID1 disk during installation(Sun Galaxy X4200 and X4100, Dell SASR5/i) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/37452 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
