Re: [Bug 263175] Re: Wireless Indicator Light Flashes Constantly (Intrepid)
1) This did not happen on Hardy and it does not happen on Windows Vista. I am pretty sure it is supposed to be constantly lit when connected. It would make more sense if it flashed more when there is more data transmitted, but it flashes at a pretty constant ~4Hz always. 2) The output of lspci -nnvv and uname -a are attached. When I try to open a PDF, I get the error "Unable to Open Document", "File type unknown (application/octet- stream) is not supported". Reinstalling evince did not help. The documents (this bug is for all PDFs) open fine with Acrobat 9 and opened in Jaunty. [Bug 326555] Re: Please package flashplugin 64bit
I'll throw in my vote. The 64-bit alpha is very stable. I upgraded to Karmic recently and was appalled that it still used nspluginwrapper (which consistently crashes for me). Who cares if the 64-bit plugin is given the name of "alpha", when the state of the current nspluginwrapper configuration could easily be considered less than that? -- Please package flashplugin 64bit https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/326555 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Re: [Bug 436816] Re: screen wakes up right after it has been suspended
This did not work for me. I removed gnome-screensaver and xscreensaver-gl and the same behaviour results - the monitor turns off and then back on to a black screen. [Bug 289728] Re: Monitor Doesn't Turn off With Power Management (Intrepid, Jaunty)
Ritz, could you supply some specifics? (please provide as much as you can) - is this the internal display or an external one --- if external then which and how are you connecting it? - do you know what the EEE 1000h uses for graphics/video? (intel, ati, etc w/ specific model) - I couldn't find this online Thanks On Wed, Sep 23, 2009 at 3:37 PM, Ritz wrote: > I can confirm the same problem with Karmic Alpha6 + updates, running on > a EEE 1000H netbook > > If screensaver(Black screen) and powermanager both is set to switch off the > screen after for example 1 minute: > - The screen fades out after exactly 1 min., then the backlight turns off > but switch on again right after. > > If screensaver is set to 1 minute and powermanager to never: > - The screen fades out after exactly 1 min., but the backlight stays on. > (as expected) > > If screensaver is set to something higher than 1 min., but powermanager to > 1 minute: (makes no sense to do, but describes the bug) > - The backlight switch off after 100 secunds, but turns on right after. > Doing that the screensaver is reset and never kicks in. [Bug 456875] [NEW] LaTeX menu doesn't open in emacs
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: auctex After I upgraded to Karmic, the LaTeX menu in emacs is visible but when it is clicked an empty drop down menu appears and no options are available. Previously, the menu listed all of the expected auctex options.
