[Bug 1905896] [NEW] Click any items on index sidebar cause zoom-level to be reset to "Fit Page"
Public bug reported: When the user click any item on index site bar the zoom level of displayed document is always reset to "Fit Page". The user had to adjust zoom level again to match zoom level before such item-click. Steps to reproduce: 1. Open a PDF that contains document structure (or index) using Atril 2. On sidebar, choose `Index` from document structure drop-down 3. Zoom the page (either using View -> Zoom In/Out or zoom level drop-down or Ctrl-mouse scroll shortcut) 4. Click any index item on the sidebar. The zoom level will be reset to "Fit Page" Expected result: Zoom level stay same before and after clicking index item ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 20.04 Package: atril 1.24.0-1 Uname: Linux 5.9.4-kernelorg-upstream-generic x86_64 ApportVersion: 2.20.11-0ubuntu27.12 Architecture: amd64 CasperMD5CheckResult: skip CurrentDesktop: ubuntu:GNOME Date: Fri Nov 27 14:59:24 2020 InstallationDate: Installed on 2020-05-05 (205 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu-MATE 20.04 LTS "Focal Fossa" - Release amd64 (20200423) SourcePackage: atril UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) modified.conffile..etc.apport.crashdb.conf: [modified] mtime.conffile..etc.apport.crashdb.conf: 2020-08-11T18:33:58.913741 ** Affects: atril (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug focal -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1905896 Title: Click any items on index sidebar cause zoom-level to be reset to "Fit Page" To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/atril/+bug/1905896/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1908991] [NEW] Compose key doesn't work after a while
Public bug reported: I attached my M-TECH keyboard to USB 2.0 hub connected to USB 2.0 port on my laptop. I also attached my mouse to the same hub. On kernels up to 5.9, compose key (which I defined as Right Super/Right Win) worked for a while, and then did not work (no accented letter inserted when typing right sequence). For example, instead of à I got `a. On 5.10 kernel (I reported this bug using custom-compiled 5.10.1 kernel), compose key does not work initially. The workaround is to open Tweaks and redefine compose key to the same key. [Bug 1866522] [NEW] Wrong Subtitle Displayed when Playing Videos that Contain non-Latin Only Characters in the Title
Public bug reported: When playing videos in which the title contains non-Latin characters (such as Cyrillic) only, the wrong subtitle will be displayed if the directory which the problematic videos above reside also contain subtitle for another videos in the same directory. For example, let 'aaa.mp4' be the problematic video file, and 'bbb.it.srt' and 'bbb.mp4' are both Italian subtitle file and its corresponding video. When running `vlc /path/to/aaa.mp4`, VLC will use '/path/to/bbb.it.srt' as subtitle for 'aaa.mp4', which is nonsense. In this case, I expect that no subtitles are used for 'aaa.mp4', since it doesn't exist. Steps to reproduce: 0. Open Terminal. 1. 'mkdir vlc-bug-test' and 'cd vlc-bug-test'. 2. Use pip3 from python3-pip package to install you-get. 3. Download 'Confronto tra Matteo Renzi e Marine Le Pen su France 2' by Matteo Renzi [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eh_2H-zwwhI] (with 480p MP4 resolution format, with Italian subtitle) by: `you-get --itag=135 'https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eh_2H-zwwhI'` (note that the itag number might be different, use `you-get -i 'https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eh_2H-zwwhI' to determine the right one). 4. Download 'Настоящая тренировка по хореографии' by Polina Gymnastics [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wRSECn7c2oE] (with 720p MP4 resolution format, no subtitles) by: `you-get --itag=136 --no-caption 'https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wRSECn7c2oE' (again use `you-get -i 'https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wRSECn7c2oE' to determine the itag number if different). 5. After both Matteo Renzi's and Polina Gymnastics' videos have been downloaded, play Polina Gymnastics' video by: `vlc 'Настоящая тренировка по хореографии.mp4'`. Download 'Confronto tra Matteo Renzi e Marine Le Pen su France 2' by Matteo Renzi [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eh_2H-zwwhI] (with 480p MP4 resolution format, with Italian subtitle) by: -`you-get --itag=135 'https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eh_2H-zwwhI'` -(note that the itag number might be different, use `you-get -i 'https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eh_2H-zwwhI' to determine the right one). + `you-get --itag=135 'https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eh_2H-zwwhI'` + (note that the itag number might be different, use `you-get -i 'https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eh_2H-zwwhI' to determine the right one). 4. Download 'Настоящая тренировка по хореографии' by Polina Gymnastics [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wRSECn7c2oE] (with 720p MP4 resolution format, no subtitles) by: -`you-get --itag=136 --no-caption 'https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wRSECn7c2oE' -(again use `you-get -i 'https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wRSECn7c2oE' to determine the itag number if different). + `you-get --itag=136 --no-caption 'https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wRSECn7c2oE' + (again use `you-get -i 'https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wRSECn7c2oE' to determine the itag number if different). 5. After both Matteo Renzi's and Polina Gymnastics' videos have been downloaded, play Polina Gymnastics' video by: -`vlc 'Настоящая тренировка по хореографии'.mp4`. + `vlc 'Настоящая тренировка по хореографии.mp4'`. -VLC will use Italian subtitle from Matteo Renzi's video. + VLC will use Italian subtitle from Matteo Renzi's video. [Bug 1866522] Re: Wrong Subtitle Displayed when Playing Videos that Contain non-Latin Only Characters in the Title
Huh, it was strange why subtitle of Renzi's video played for Polina's video one. Note: I got Polina's video on June 2018 via savefrom[.]net downloader, please get the video by that method and retry reproducing problem. At the time I got the video, the tile is different than when I posted this bug. ** Attachment added: "vlc-vvv log as requested" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/vlc/+bug/1866522/+attachment/5334853/+files/vlc-vvv.log -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1866522 Title: Wrong Subtitle Displayed when Playing Videos that Contain non-Latin Only Characters in the Title To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/vlc/+bug/1866522/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1894968] [NEW] vlc assert failure: double free or corruption (!prev) when taking screenshot the second time on same time position
Public bug reported: I discovered this bug when I tried to take a snapshot of "I Died in a Car Crash" contemporary dance video by Ana Zimhart (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eoocJ3euHy8), which the video itself had been downloaded long time ago. When the video played at time position 1:37 (when Ana did headstand/handstand [baby freeze headstand] trick) I took a snapshot two times. The first attempt succeed, but the second attempt triggered double free crash. [Bug 1894968] Re: vlc assert failure: double free or corruption (!prev) when taking screenshot the second time on same time position
To reproduce this bug: - `mkdir vlc-bug && cd vlc-bug` - Get this video attachment - Invoke `vlc 'I Died in a Car Crash - Contemporary Solo.mp4'` - Pause at 1:37 (when Ana is doing headstand/handstand trick). Wait until her legs are fully straight. - Either click 'Take a snapshot' button (requires enabling advanced controls on View -> Advanced Controls) or click Video -> Take Snapshot.
