[Bug 1457381] [NEW] ubuntu-minimal conflicts with syslog-ng cause removing syslog-ng in every release upgrade
Public bug reported: On every release upgrade (and in vivid vervet on a normal? upgrade the update-manager want to install the ubuntu-minimal package. This package depends on rsyslog without depending on the metapackage system-log- daemon alternatively. This cause that in every release upgrade the syslog-ng package is removed from my machine. And now the update manager said that it want to do a partial upgrade and in that upgrade it tried to remove the syslog-ng again. (I think the reason for the partial upgrade is the docker.io package from the docker PPA) This removing happened when I upgraded to lucid, to precise, to quantal and to vervet too. ** Affects: update-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: dist-upgrade ** Tags added: dist-upgrade -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1457381 Title: ubuntu-minimal conflicts with syslog-ng cause removing syslog-ng in every release upgrade To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/update-manager/+bug/1457381/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1011073] Re: NetworkManager submenus sometimes unpopulated
This bug also affect me. Sadly I could not tell when it happen because almost always I use already known wifi hotspots. But when it happens I recognise the following symptoms: * The More Networks menu is empty * The VPN Connections menu also empty * Could not connect any of the wifi connection from the list The nmcli command is working, so I could connect to the VPN's if I need. The pkill nm-applet/nm-applet & is working for me (I tried it just now). When I started the nm-applet I find the following writing in the terminal (it maybe not related): sasa@mochrul:~$ nm-applet & [1] 29030 sasa@mochrul:~$ ** Message: applet now removed from the notification area ** Message: No keyring secrets found for /802-11-wireless-security; asking user.
