[Bug 255889] Re: jockey-gtk crashed with DBusException in call_blocking()
The indicated error in the jockey- seems to be caused by jockey-backend script not finishing it's initialization stage, thus doesn't respond to frontend requests. The jockey-backend script appears to be hanging in jockey.detection._get_printers(), while waiting on cups.Connection().getDevices(). In fact, the cupsd process goes to 100% CPU usage ocasionally and needs restart, so the real problem is probably in the cups/cups-client and jockey fails as a side-effect. [Bug 269899] Re: let the user choose the screenshot's filetype
My bug at "100 paper cuts" was triaged as invalid, so I'll post here. https://bugs.launchpad.net/hundredpapercuts/+bug/401701 When I launch Gnome-screenshot, either by the menu or by hitting PrintScreen key, I can save the output file only in PNG format. There should be an option for saving such files as JPEG. In fact, I believe JPEG should be the default format for saving screenshots in that program, as they take less space on the disk, are easier to upload to a site and download from one. For instance, now I have to make a screenshot, navigate to the folder where it has been saved, open the file in Eye of Gnome and save it there as JPEG before sending it to a friend. Even if JPEG won't be the default file format in gnome-screenshot, I would be delighted if it could save pictures in JPEG. -- let the user choose the screenshot's filetype https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/269899 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 401840] [NEW] View of files scrolls up when thumbnails are being created
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: nautilus In Nautilus with icon view, when you open a folder with lots of files, i.e. photos, and scroll down while thumbnails for photos are being created, the view will constantly scroll up, because thumbnails take more space than ordinary system icons (especially thumbnails for vertical pictures) and push icons below downwards. This behavior makes it impossible to navigate through the folder before all thumbnails have been created, which can be extremely annoying with hundreds of pictures in one place. Things like selecting a couple of files or finding the right one to click on it become very hard to do. [Bug 416056] Re: Cannot open /dev/rfcomm0: No such device
Got the same after jaunty->karmic upgrade. In my case adding "rfcomm bind all" to /etc/rc.local was sufficient to solve this one. I believe I've already done (4.) in the past. All the configuration lines in rfcomm.conf are ended with semicolon in my case. And the channel didn't change for me - it's still 4. My mobile is Nokia N95-2 by the way. In conclusion, this bug should probably be renamed to "rfcomm.conf configuration is ignored at start-up" or something similar. -- Cannot open /dev/rfcomm0: No such device https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/416056 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1243289] Re: HDMI color issues are back
When I run the live USB version of Ubuntu 14.04 it starts out with good colors, but with desktop on both the laptop screen and the external monitor connected with HDMI. After I go to system settings and change it to use only the external monitor - the colors go crazy (greeny-pinkish all over). Then, changing back to both screens doesn't help. It just displays wrong colors on the external screen no matter what setttings I use afterwards. The logs above are collected before I fiddled with the display settings. Logs collected after the colors have gone crazy will follow. ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: Expired => Confirmed ** Description changed: Bug #751735 was reintroduced in 3.2.0.38.46 and is still present in 3.2.0.55.65. [Bug 697235] [NEW] Firefox displays wrong title in the titlebar
