[Bug 296451] Re: gnome-power-manager needs several minutes to load at startup

2008-11-30 Thread Andrej Zirko
I've got similiar problems with gnome-power-manager. The whole responsiveness
of gnome-power-manager seems to be slow - it takes about a minute till ubuntu
recognized that the AC was plugged in. Also when I want to shut down computer I
get a dialog about gnome-power-manager not responding. There is a discussion
about this bug at ubuntuforums
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=963832

I'm running Ubuntu 8.10 32bit (fully updated) on HP 6720s...

[Bug 308792] [NEW] fatrat not in repositories

2008-12-16 Thread Andrej Zirko
Public bug reported:

Fatrat is one of the best download manager for linux(as one of the few
it supports rapidshare etc.) It's been out for a while and it's still
not in the repos. Me and many others have to compile fatrat from source.
Please consider adding fatrat to the repositories.

I can also confirm this. Is VAAPI Chromium snap abandoned? It really

[Bug 264864] Re: sound records at wrong speed with USB webcam

2010-10-20 Thread Andrej Zirko
Hi, I own creative live! cam notebook and when I access the camera(video
recording) first before using its microphone it works well. So I made a simple
script to access the camera as soon as it's inserted. The script isn't camera
dependent, so you can try it even if you don't own the creative one...
My ppa can be find here
https://launchpad.net/~andrej-zirko/+archive/creative-webcam
Btw I'm using lucid, so I don't know if this problem still persists in maverick
- please let me know if you want me to package the script also for maverick.
Btw2 this is my first package so I hope it works for you.
