[Bug 289584] Re: networking disabled after resume from sleep
This bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? Can you try with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO CD images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/ . If it remains an issue, could you run the following command from a Terminal (Applications->Accessories->Terminal). It will automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this report. apport-collect -p linux Also, if you could test the latest upstream kernel available that would be great. It will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue. Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Once you've tested the upstream kernel, please remove the 'needs-upstream-testing' tag. This can be done by clicking on the yellow pencil icon next to the tag located at the bottom of the bug description and deleting the 'needs-upstream-testing' text. Please let us know your results. Thanks in advance. ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Incomplete ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Assignee: (unassigned) => Akshay (akshaytayal) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/289584 Title: networking disabled after resume from sleep -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Re: [Bug 224867] Re: new files opened in evince does not bring its window to top
I have to get this out, I am sorry. Intrepid is in *alpha*, I don't have non-production machines, this is an absurd request to a person who took the time to find the bug. Its like asking them to your job for you. This is the trend I see in Ubuntu bug reporting. User files bug, no one looks at it for months, then they mark it as lacking information (when it does not, I even have the steps to reproduce it and have filed the bug against hardy *not* intrepid), they expect users to do some kind of massive test report for them and because they don't they finally mark the bug closed. Hurray, problem solved. This is the second of my bugs where I have been asked to devote some unusual amount of time to provide more information. I feel it to be completely unnecessary since some time spent by the developer on the problem can solve it. This is just a way of moving responsibility around. I ain't filing any more bugs. Good luck with everything, Akshay On Wed, Sep 24, 2008 at 7:39 AM, Pedro Villavicencio <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > We are closing this bug report because it lacks the information we need > to investigate the problem, as described in the previous comments. > Please reopen it if you can give us the missing information, and don't > hesitate to submit bug reports in the future. [Bug 219351] [NEW] evince does not correctly display embedded images in eps by inkscape
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: evince However, 'gv' does do it successfully but it takes a lot of time to load all the images. The images were imported into inkscape from the open clip art library. I then embedded all the images into the vector graphics file. Next, I exported this as an eps file. When I open the eps file in evince, it displays black lines and parts of images. Only very few of them are correctly displayed. ** Affects: evince (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- evince does not correctly display embedded images in eps by inkscape https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/219351 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 219780] Re: gnome panel hanging and wont restart
Bad news! Can't reproduce when -dbg package of gnome-panel is installed. I am attaching .xsession-errors. Some more information: This seems to happen only at startup. After the gnome-panel has crashed I am able to restart it by doing the following: sudo killall gnome-panel After the restart, I can no long reproduce the problem. Re: [Bug 219780] Re: gnome panel hanging and wont restart
I understand that. Nonetheless, I can only reproduce it without the dbg symbols. Like I said before, it only happens the first time. Once I restart the gnome-panel during the same session, I don't see the error again. Sorry I can't be of more help than that. [Bug 224866] [NEW] Evince incorrectly renders powerdot presentations
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: evince 'powerdot' is a presentation package for latex which helps create postscript presentations. The attached presentation looks perfect using 'gv' but evince does not display this correctly. This problem did not happen in hardy. Even the thumbnail generated in nautilius is correct, so the problem only seems to show up in the evince application. rant: Why do you guys have to change things so drastically across one release cycle, isn't it better not to touch things that are working?
