[Bug 323222] [NEW] Provider in Oman - Nawras
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: mobile-broadband-provider-info Please add Nawras GPRS and 3G provider in Oman - tested successfully with Network Manager and Huawei E220 / 270 USB modem. Does not work properly with SIM PIN code, which is probably an issue common to modems. [Bug 485952] Re: language prompt at the end of the karmic upgrade installs 16 languages
Files from dist-upgrade attached. The term.log file has the history of the installed languages. I had only ur-PK and English installed on jaunty, and the karmic upgrade asked me whether I wanted to re-install it. On yes, it went ahead the group of selected languages. I tried to figure out what those 16 languages had in common, but could not figure it out. ** Attachment added: "files from /var/log/dist-upgrade" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/38300975/dist-upgrade.tar.gz -- language prompt at the end of the karmic upgrade installs 16 languages https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/485952 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 457965] Re: Key presses during Recovery menu captured by root shell
Same problem here. This time the overlay text is about not being able to mount drives. I changed the DefaultDepth and Depth to 24 in the /etc/xorg.conf and the machine would not reboot. Trying to edit the file through the recovery menu results in this problem. If it is any help, it happens on the third down-arrow keystroke while on the recovery menu and the machine freezes completely. Apparently the 'clean' task on the menu is doing some processing instead of just managing the menu. -- Key presses during Recovery menu captured by root shell https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/457965 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 485952] [NEW] language prompt at the end of the karmic upgrade installs 16 languages
Public bug reported: I upgraded Jaunty to Karmic and after rebooting it told me that I needed to install some language files that were previously installed. I assumed that it would be the alternate language I had installed before. However, it went ahead and downloaded and installed 16 languages, ranging from Finnish to Marathi. Installed bundles included gnome and openoffice bundles. I had to manually deselect and delete the files to recover some disk space. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- language prompt at the end of the karmic upgrade installs 16 languages https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/485952 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 457965] Re: Key presses during Recovery menu captured by root shell
After update associated with kernel 2.6.31.15: Same problem, with different error messages: Login incorrect. Give root password or Ctrl-D to continue. Similar to 'telinit 1' but the ncurses interface is breaking up. [Bug 485952] Re: language prompt at the end of the karmic upgrade installs 16 languages
OK. I had installed gcompris for two languages. gcompris should probably provide only the chosen language modules. Can we move this to gcompris then?
