[Bug 298683] Re: Suspend occasionaly fails
My laptop (HP530) will not suspend at all when the lid is closed. If I close Suspend from the shutdown menu, it works perfectly and will resume when I open the lid and push Power (this laptop cannot resume simply by opening the lid) but closing the lid does nothing. This only started after I installed Ibex. It all worked perfectly in Hardy. Please tell me what to post to assist and I'll do so. -- Suspend occasionaly fails https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/298683 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
Re: [Bug 44058] Re: suspend when closing laptop lid doesn't work
No, When i close my lid, the screen does not even blank. All the settings are correct. This isn't a settings issue. I can confirm. This issue exists also in Ubuntu 9.04. It was working in Ubuntu 8.04. What changed?! [Bug 332249] [NEW] Suspend (when Lid is closed) fails - HP530
Public bug reported: When i used Ubuntu 8.04, closing the laptop Lid caused the system to sleep. When i opened it, I'd hit the power button then the system would wake and all was well. Ubuntu 8.10 does not do this. When I close the lid, nothing happens. The power options dialog sometimes shows options for battery and plugged in, sometimes only plugged in. I've reinstalled 8.10 from scratch and it still fails. Is anyone in a position to change this actually reading these posts? Sent from AdriPod!
