Public bug reported: When i used Ubuntu 8.04, closing the laptop Lid caused the system to sleep. When i opened it, I'd hit the power button then the system would wake and all was well. Ubuntu 8.10 does not do this. When I close the lid, nothing happens.
The power options dialog sometimes shows options for battery and plugged in, sometimes only plugged in. I've reinstalled 8.10 from scratch and it still fails.
