[Bug 228721] Re: [Hardy] Searching youtube videos runs 100% cpu forever.
Hi, I suspect that this has to do with the fact that if you launch totem from the system menu, then it will not honour the proxy settings. When we open a terminal first and launch totem from that then YouTube plugin works. This is also happening with googleearth -- [Hardy] Searching youtube videos runs 100% cpu forever. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/228721 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 228721] Re: [Hardy] Searching youtube videos runs 100% cpu forever.
A work around that I did is to edit the launcher. [Bug 124726] Re: totem-xine config file reset automatically
I want to ask this bug to be re-opened. Like Ivanyung I edit ~/.config/totem/xine_config but my reason to edit it is because the current media.vcd.device parameter is set to /media/cdrom0 I tried to make totem play vcd via Movie->Play disc command I am using Ubuntu 8.04 for i386, and currently I can only play VCD with xine-ui or with totem-xine via command line $ totem vcd:///dev/cdrom If I use $ totem vcd:///media/cdrom0 then the totem will complain that "There is no input plugin to handle the location of this movie" I suspect that the current Movie->Play disc will use /media/cdrom0 (the mounted cd) when what it needed was /dev/cdrom (the link to the device file). I also suspect that by editing the xine_config file then totem-xine would use /dev/cdrom to play vcd but after I edit the file and save it, everytime I ran totem to play something the file get reset back. I have search via googles about totem-xine unable to play vcd and many people think that totem-xine is unable to play vcd and switch to mplayer or vlc for that purpose. But one of the entries I found in the internet point me that there might be no symlink /cdrom that points to /dev/cdrom If there is any info that I can supply to help solve this bug please tell me what is needed. -- totem-xine config file reset automatically https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/124726 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

I still experience kernel crash (caps lock blinking) on my Acer Travelmate 6292 using Ubuntu 8.04. I have updated the kernel to the latest in Ubuntu main repository, but the issue still happens. I notice that when I don't have wireless access point nearby this issue didn't appear. [Bug 94304] Re: Dial-up modem in Network-Admin not functional in Feisty
Just want to add one thing. I found out that one problem that makes the network manager seems not to be able to dial is that it keep reverting the setting back to pulse. I assume this kind of bug should not be difficult or take a long time to be fix by the maintainer ? I am aware that there are a lot of bugs, so if this one is not so difficult to be fixed by the person who knows the source code (the one who create it in the first place or modify it) I strongly hope this will be fixed at least when Gutsy came out (in other word, please put it in higher priority than other more difficult bugs) Connectivity (wifi, LAN, dialup, bluetooth) is basic function which has high priority in modern desktop. -- Dial-up modem in Network-Admin not functional in Feisty https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/94304 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Hi, I also experience the same bugs. Somehow when connected to a proxy pidgin sent incorrect url when fetching yahoo buddy icon. It strips the protocol and website. This is what warcraft frozen throne opening screen should look like. [Bug 94304] Re: Dial-up modem in Network-Admin not functional in Feisty
I had dialup working in Edgy using gnome-ppp and sl-modem When I upgraded to Feisty it stopped working, but I got it fixed by downgrading the sl-modem-daemon to edgy version. I am wondering if the sl-modem-daemon package is upgraded in Feisty without testing to ensure it still works ? I assume that almost every new notebook now includes a "winmodem", and in my part of the world, it is still used a lot. I have just make the networkmanager dial-up feature work after reading this : http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=2819655 I didn't use Cingular, so I only do step number one, and the name of the provider is ppp0 I fill the setting in network admin and in the Options tab of settings for interface for ppp0 I checked "Set modem as default route to internet" and "Use the internet service providers name server" then I can connect, and submit this comment. But the applet still shows as if I am not connected AND the setting keep reverted back to pulse.
