[Bug 505946] [NEW] history is not sorted correctly
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: firefox-3.5 When displaying history and the list order is chosen, the list is not displayed as selected - especially if "most visited" is used. My experience has been very similar. I must note however that if you use the Ubuntu (no effects) login the silly blinking actions of the desktop and menus do not occur. You can at least see the desktop and menus properly. Some of the graphics in titlebar and progressbar window adornment display items do however display artifacts related to this driver. None of the graphic effects work. In FireFox, and LibreOffice graphics do not get rendered without artifacts when scrolled. It is also true that compiz does not use the desktop settings for resolution and theme (as noted originally) from my previous setup regardless of theme settings or resolution selected. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/746934 Title: [i865] GPU lockup (ESR: 0x0010 PGTBL_ER: 0x0029 IPEHR: 0x0100) -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

My hardware is Intel Corporation 82845G Integrated Graphics Controller and after updating to the xserver-xorg-video-intel-2:2.14.0-4ubuntu7 driver today, much of the same issues exist. All that was fixed it appears, is the artifacts in menus and window headers and painting issues in LibreOffice and FireFox. This driver still will not support the Ubuntu Unity and Ubuntu Classic, only Ubuntu Classic (No effects). It seems to me since it did support effects in Ubuntu 9 and 10, this should not be an issue in 11. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/746934 Title: [i865] GPU lockup (ESR: 0x0010 PGTBL_ER: 0x0029 IPEHR: 0x0100) -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 666396] [NEW] Working application reports IBus not connecting
Public bug reported: After update of available packages, the Qt 4.7.0 libraries were updated. Attempting to run a working application using Qt, it reports IBus is not connecting - ibus-daemon not running. After a LOT of searching, I was able to work around this message. The Keyboard Input setup utility allowed me to specify an input. When clicking on apply, the utility started the ibus daemon. Once set up the error ceased. Not sure which package to list as the cause as this came directly after a conical update from the repositories where several packages including Qt was updated. There is one other bug listed by a Chinese user about locals but that does not seem a good fit for this one.
