Public bug reported:

After update of available packages, the Qt 4.7.0 libraries were updated.
Attempting to run a working application using Qt, it reports IBus is not
connecting - ibus-daemon not running.

After a LOT of searching, I was able to work around this message. The
Keyboard Input setup utility allowed me to specify an input. When
clicking on apply, the utility started the ibus daemon. Once set up the
error ceased.

Not sure which package to list as the cause as this came directly after a
conical update from the repositories where several packages including Qt was
updated.
There is one other bug listed by a Chinese user about locals but that does not
seem a good fit for this one.

Ubuntu 10.10 (maverick)
Kernel 2.6.35.22-generic
GNOME 2.32.0
Pentium 4 2.8GHz
1Gb Ram
15 Gb Free disk

** Affects: ibus-qt (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
