RE: [SM-USERS] Re: Read Messages Not Unread After Back
Dovecot 1.0 alpha versions return invalid responses to UID STORE commands. When SquirrelMail marks message as read, scripts issue UID STORE command. Please upgrade. If you want more detailed explanation - search dovecot mailing list. It is strongly recommended to turn off globals in SquirrelMail installation. > Sorry, here are some specs: > > Working server: > Mandriva > Postfix > PHP 4.4.0 with register_globals on > > Nonworking server: > Debian 3.1 > Dovecot 1.0.alpha4 > PHP 4.3.11 with register_globals on > > Keefe > > -Original Message- > From: Tomas Kuliavas [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Sent: Friday, May 05, 2006 12:32 AM > To: squirrelmail-users@lists.sourceforge.net > Cc: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: Re: [SM-USERS] Re: Read Messages Not Unread After Back > >> I really don't think it's a browser issue. RE: [SM-USERS] Re: Read Messages Not Unread After Back
It is php setting, not SquirrelMail. SquirrelMail can be run on different php versions. register_globals setting can be controlled by php scripts only in php 4.2.3 and older. You can turn it off in php.ini, webserver configuration or .htaccess file. from apache config php_flag register_globals off If you still have mailbox caching issues in stable SquirrelMail, check https://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1304408&group_id=311&atid=423679 Patch on tracker should fix some caching issues that might happen when messages are deleted or moved or pagination is switched off. > Tomas, > > Thanks much for your help! > > One question for you..where in the squirrelmail configs is the setting for > register_globals? Re: [SM-USERS] Unsafe Images
Doug, There is a plugin called "Unsafe Image Rules" that might meet your needs. http://squirrelmail.org/plugin_view.php?id=98 For any admins out there that are new to SM or just have questions about adding functionality, I'd /strongly/ recommend visiting the plugins page clicking the "View all plugins at once" link (or going straight to http://squirrelmail.org/plugins_category.php?category_id=all). When I was starting out I found it /extremely/ helpful to take the time and read through all the available plugins. It gave me a much better understanding of what additional functionality was available and even showed me lots of useful ideas I hadn't thought of. Hope that helps. RE: [SM-USERS] Re: Read Messages Not Unread After Back
Are you sure that it is happening only in Dovecot install? Have you applied patch from https://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1304408&group_id=311&atid=423679 > Alright, so now I'm upgraded to dovecot 1.0.beta7 and I have globals > turned > off in the squirrelmail folder via .htaccess file. I have no clue about the second error :-) change_passwd 4.0 plugin requires compatibility v.1.x plugin. Downgrade your compatibility plugin version to 1.3 and remove compatibility plugin line from functions/strings.php. http://www.squirrelmail.org/wiki/CompatibilityDependencies If you need newer compatibility plugin version for empty_folders or multilogin, update change_passwd plugin. P.S. In most of the cases change_pass (http://www.squirrelmail.org/plugin_view.php?id=21) plugin can be used instead of change_passwd. -- Tomas --- Using Tomcat but need to do more?
