[kmymoney] [Bug 442991] New: Reconcile Window Columns Not Adaptable
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=442991 Bug ID: 442991 Summary: Reconcile Window Columns Not Adaptable Product: kmymoney Version: 5.0.8 Platform: Mint (Debian based) OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: minor Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: kmymoney-devel@kde.org Reporter: rimworldsm...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY: This is a suggestion, not a bug. The reconcile window has "fixed" width columns and some some fields are too wide. As a consequence it is very difficult to have a bank statement and kmymoney's reconcile page open side by side. (Unfortunately due to vision constraints, I have to use "large" fonts. Need the capability to adjust the column widths. Particularly egregious is the "C" column which is excessively wide. I am using Mint. The version of kmymoney from the Mint repository is 5.08. I don't know what you could do to encourage the Debian/Ubuntu/Mint managers to update kmymoney to the current version. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
[kmymoney] [Bug 442991] Reconcile Window Columns Not Adaptable
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=442991 Jack changed: What|Removed |Added Severity|minor |wishlist --- Comment #1 from Jack --- wishlist is how to indicate a suggestion/request. I wonder if this well become easier to implement after the eventual switch in how we handle HTML/CSS. If so, it's then another reason to support that change. In terms of getting distros to update the version of apps they package, I would think that requests from users would carry more weight than requests from upstream. Also, some distros like Ubuntu can't always update applications due to dependencies on underlying libraries which only get updated with new releases of the distro. I see that Mint has released their version 20.2, so you might consider upgrading if you are on an older release. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
[kmymoney] [Bug 442991] Reconcile Window Columns Not Adaptable
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=442991 --- Comment #2 from Stephen Rynas --- Well, I thought I was providing a "wish list" suggestion. Please delete, since it is not a bug. I'm on the most current version of Mint. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
[kmymoney] [Bug 442991] Reconcile Window Columns Not Adaptable
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=442991 --- Comment #3 from Jack --- You did, and there is no reason to delete - it is a perfectly valid request. I just changed the severity from "minor" to "wishlist" to indicate that. If 5.0.8 is the most recent version of KMyMoney available on the latest release of Mint, then I would suggest requesting an upgrade to a Mint forum or mailing list, pointing out that 5.0.8 was released in January 2020. (I haven't used Mint, so I can't be more specific about the best place for that request.) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
[kmymoney] [Bug 442991] Reconcile Window Columns Not Adaptable
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=442991 --- Comment #4 from Stephen Rynas --- OK, I see how that should be done now. Thanks.
