[neon] [Bug 365647] New: can't input Japanese with fcitx-mozc IME on Konsole and Kwrite

2016-07-14 Thread via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=365647

Bug ID: 365647
Summary: can't input Japanese with fcitx-mozc IME on Konsole
and Kwrite
   Product: neon
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: neon-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: fiftyigfuci_f...@yahoo.co.jp
CC: j...@jriddell.org, neon-b...@kde.org, sit...@kde.org

I can't input Japanese with fcitx-mozc IME on Konsole and Kwrite.
On the other hand, I can input Japanese on Firefox using fcitx-mozc.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. sudo apt install fcitx-mozc
2. KDE menu > Applications > Settings > Input Method Configuration
 > Imput method tab > Add(+) Mozc
 > Global config tab > Trigger Input Method > Ctrl+Space
3. Run Konsole or Kwrite.
4. Press |Ctrl+Space| key to turn on the IME.
5. Press |a| key.

Actual Results:
It doesn't turn on the IME.
So, Konsole(or Kwrite) shows |a| character directly.

Expected Results:
Konsole(or Kwrite) shows |あ| character via the IME.

[krita] [Bug 365648] New: Drawing's Are (sort of) Invisible

2016-07-14 Thread Matt via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=365648

Bug ID: 365648
Summary: Drawing's Are (sort of) Invisible
   Product: krita
   Version: 3.0
  Platform: PCLinuxOS
OS: MS Windows
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: major
  Priority: NOR
 Component: usability
  Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: deadtiredd...@gmail.com

So every time I load up Krita 3.0 and I try drawing with it, I can't see what
I'm doing; it's like having a blind fold on. The only place I can see Krita
update my progress is the tiny little thumbnail on the layer docker, or if I
press the file tab, my work suddenly appears. I heard this happened to another
individual on OS and it's very frustrating. I've tried everything to fix it,
but I've givin up. I was excited to try the new animation feature, but it looks
like I'll be reverting to 2.9.11 for now. Please fix this if you can.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Load Krita
2. Try Drawing with it
3. There you go...

Actual Results:
Same thing

Expected Results:
Nothing, it did it again

Wacom intuos pen and touch tablet, uninstalled and re-downloaded Krita 3 times,
tried configuring Wacom desktop center to set Krita as default program and it
didn't change a thing.

2016-07-14 Thread Ronny via KDE Bugzilla

Bug ID: 365649
Summary: Weird shadow in Task Manager
   Product: plasmashell
   Version: 5.5.5
  Platform: Kubuntu Packages
   URL: http://imgur.com/lQSHx8G
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Task Manager
  Assignee: h...@kde.org
  Reporter: ronnybren...@gmail.com
CC: plasma-b...@kde.org

There is a light gray shadow for every text and icon in the Task Manager.
It is approximately one character to the left and 1px to the bottom.

Not sure why it is there.
I'm pretty sure it is not helpful, and personally I find it disturbing.
A proper shadow would probably be not as far to the left. Perhaps a tiny bit to
the bottom-right.

Mh, this is not only in the Task Manager, but also in folder views and icons
added (see screenshot).
But it is not present in the System Tray.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Have a panel
2. Look at the Task Manager closely
3.

Actual Results:
Odd shadow is present

Expected Results:
No shadow, or a proper shadow

Yes, thanks. I already have this package installed.

Your tip can be seen as a general work-around for incomplete SSL support in
KDE. Root certificates can be always installed system-wide.

Personally I am currently more interested in importing my SSL client
certificate, so that KDE applications like Dolphin, Konqueror or Dolphin can
use it for authentication purposes. Here I don't see a possibility to do this
system-wide and in KDE it's not possible. This problem matches the title of
this bug, but not the description. See #319049.

Bug ID: 365650
Summary: After unplug external screens, windows do not come

   Product: kwin
   Version: 5.5.5
  Platform: openSUSE RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kwin-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: guoyunhebr...@gmail.com

This problem related to laptop resume & multiple-screen.

When laptop is in resume state, and user unplug cables of external screen, KDE
will not move the window from external screen to laptop screen after resume
system. This cause users cannot use the window anymore. They cannot move the
window through "move to screen" menu, because here is only one screen now. They
can only close the window. But what if you have some important data that didn't
save in that application?

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Connect laptop with a second screen with HDMI or VGA.
2. Move a window to second screen.
3. Close laptop so it is in sleep mode.
4. Disconnect the second screen by unplug HDMI or VGA cables.
5. Resume laptop.
6. Open the window that you moved into the second screen.

Actual Results:
After resume laptop, the window in the second screen will not come back to
current laptop screen automatically.

Expected Results:
All windows should be forcely returned to current screen.

Obviously, this is not normal, because otherwise we wouldn't have released
Krita 3.0. You are not giving enough information to see what might be wrong,
not even a screenshot, but at a guess, it's a graphics driver problem, and if
you disable opengl and you see your image, that's a virtual certainty.

* Which operating system are you on? You have selected both PC Linux OS and MS
Windows.
* Which graphics card do you have? Intel, AMD or NVidia? Or one of those
two-cards-in-one box laptops which are switchable? If so, how is krita
configured?
* Which version of the driver for the graphcs card do you have?
* What do you mean "file tab" -- that's not a term that's familiar to me.

[Breeze] [Bug 354370] GIMP icon is bad

2016-07-14 Thread via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=354370

--- Comment #12 from prusselltechgr...@gmail.com ---
I just use the one provided by the linux distribution or go to
https://www.gimp.org/about/linking.html. They have a couple there.

In this case, opensuse-tumbleweed,
/usr/share/icons/hicolor/32x32/apps/gimp.png. But when I right-click the gimp
icon (it happens to all icons on the panel), and select "Icon Settings", I get
a window that says "Keyboard Shortcuts". There is nothing about Icon's on that
window. So at this moment, I don't know how to change these icons.

I was able to change the launcher's icon to
/usr/share/icons/oxygen/32x32/apps/kde.png, by right-clicking the launcher,
selecting "Application Menu Settings" and checking the box, "Use custom image"
and browsing to the location.

I use a dark theme on the screen.

The offenders of not respecting it are:
1. browsers, well they respect it, but they respect the CSS more
2. proprietary chat applications (which I have to use for work).

These ones tend to be very very white with no options for using a different
colour scheme.

But when I invert their colours, then the content is appropriately coloured but
the borders are now whitish and the content is black.

I can reproduce this with git master. Some actions, like about krita, are saved
correctly, but specifically the smoothing actions (and I bet other actions that
come from plugins) don't get saved correctly. I though that Michael had fixed
all those issues, but apparently not.

Any information about 2.9.x is not relevant, btw, those versions have been
superceded by 3.x.

[cervisia] [Bug 365652] New: recursive update doesn't work

2016-07-14 Thread via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=365652

Bug ID: 365652
   Summary: recursive update doesn't work
   Product: cervisia
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: openSUSE RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: christian.lo...@hamburg.de
  Reporter: poldi...@web.de

Cervisia-Version: 3.10.0
OS: OpenSuSE Leap - latest version (online updated)

If i select the module's main folder of a project and use F5 to üpdate, only a
unforeseeable part of the folders seem to be updated. They remain in state
"unknown". I have to select each single folder of a project to get an updated
state of the files of the folder. All recursive updates are selected in the
settings dialog. And the same setting works perfectly in older Versions of KDE
(eg. OpenSuSE 12.2).
In the state window at the bottom changed files, or files which need to be
updated are shown correctly.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. select main folder of a project
2. F5 to update the state of a project
3.

Expected Results:
Unfolding the view should show the actual state of the files

I have similar problem. After log in second screen is always black (missing
background etc), but working. This happens every time. I'm using laptop (non
HD) + DVI HD monitor.

It doesn't happen when I connect monitor after log in. In SDDM both laptop and
external monitor have the same resolution and duplicates output. During KDE
startup external monitor resolution changes to correct one and desktop area is
expanded.

[plasmashell] [Bug 340267] Plasma crashes when a DisplayPort monitor sleeps

2016-07-14 Thread Konrad Materka via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=340267

I have the same back trace but in different situation. Probably cause is the
same. In my situation it is always reproducible. It happens when I disable and
enable screen again when it was affected by:
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=353975 (screen is active but just black -
no background or any other plasma widgets).

I know that it might be different situation, but my guess is that during screen
initialization it tries to delete old configuration that was not fully
initialized. Can it happen when configuration of the same monitor changes
quickly?

Running Neon User 5.7.1 with latest stable Plasma 5.7.1, Qt 5.7

Crash is from here:
#7  0x0043fe1f in ShellCorona::addOutput (this=0x7a3040,
screen=0x43b8bb0) at /workspace/build/shell/shellcorona.cpp:862

#6  Plasma::Applet::actions (this=this@entry=0x0) at
/workspace/build/src/plasma/applet.cpp:607
KActionCollection *Applet::actions() const

return d->actions;
}

Variable d must be already deallocated or not initialized. Is it possible that
containment is not fully initialized or it is a dangling pointer? After quick
look at the code I was not able to find such situation.

[okular] [Bug 365654] New: Search for character or string in a specific font or style

2016-07-14 Thread Erik Quaeghebeur via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=365654

Bug ID: 365654
Summary: Search for character or string in a specific font or
style
   Product: okular
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Other
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: okular-de...@kde.org
  Reporter: kdeb...@equaeghe.nospammail.net

(I mainly have okular as a pdf viewer in mind.)

It would be useful to be able to search a text viewed for a specific character
or string in a specific font or font style. An example of what I would like to
do is find an italic ‘x’, not just any ‘x’. In my example the difference is
just style, upright vs. slanted/italic, but I am certainly also interested in
the capability of having the search procedure being able to take into account
differences in font.

This feature would be especially useful when trying to search a pdf for the
occurrence of a mathematical variable, which is usually denoted in a different
style or font.

Reproducible: Always

[plasmashell] [Bug 356225] Panel moves to wrong screen when external monitor is connected

2016-07-14 Thread Konrad Materka via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=356225

Probably a regression due to this bug "fix", if not I'll fill another report.

After Plasma 5.7 when I click on "Add panel -> Default panel" action panel is
added to primary screen, even if action was issued on external monitor.
Strangly, "Empty panel" is added correctly to the left edge of external screen.

Bug ID: 365656
Summary: git master: timeline playhead doesn't extend
vertically to full height
   Product: kdenlive
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: User Interface
  Assignee: j...@kdenlive.org
  Reporter: wegwerf-1-...@gmx.de

Created attachment 100091
  --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=100091&action=edit
screenshot of short playhead

I've set my default track height to 40. With a total of 9 tracks the playhead
doesn't correctly spans the full height of the timeline. Instead, it only
covers four and a half(!) track. See also attached screenshot.

Bug ID: 365657
Summary: Spactacle's selection mode works unreliable

Status: UNCONFIRMED

Rectangular Region, Delay 2s (or 1s or on click): It happens often (>80% of my
trys) that my screen remains bright, only the cursor changes into the crosshair
(or whatever) shape. There is no visual feedback for the selection, moving the
mouse over the area changes the cursor into NW/SW etc. meaning I could extend
the selection, if it would be visual. I can end the procedure with enter (not
double click!) and get what I want, but without visual feedback it's hard to
define precise rectangles.

Sometimes it also happens that Window Under Cursor and Active Screen result in
some weird rectangle, at least not the window I see. But this issue is not easy
to reproduce.

Reproducible: Always

While working on a project I noticed the following issue: create a library clip
that contains multiple title clips. Now, when adding the library clip to
another project and expanding the library clip in the timeline I end up with
all title clips in the timeline referencing the same single project bin title
clip. The other title clips are properly available in the project bin, but are
not referenced as they should by the timeline title clips.

The icon-only taskmanager does sometimes not show new apps or updates existing.
Hard to track down in what situation this happens. But reliable it keeps the

helps when I change the panel height and thereby it is refreshed.

The default max_allowed_packet variable is 16MB. For larger packets, it issues
an ER_NET_PACKET_TOO_LARGE error and closes the connection. You may also get a
"Lost connection to MySQL server during query" error.
( Select @@global.max_allowed_packet; will provide current value)

You could start MySQL server with "mysql --max_allowed_packet=128M. OR in
my.ini or ~/.my.cnf, change the following option:
[mysqld]
max_allowed_packet=128M

It is safe to increase the value of this variable because the extra memory is
allocated only when needed.

File layers will not convert to Paint Layers.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Import file layer
2. Right click on file layer > convert > Paint Layer

Actual Results:
Nothing happens

Expected Results:
The file layer should be rasterized

There is the simple workaround of calling up an empty paint layer and merging
the two. This way the File layer will be rasterized.

[plasmashell] [Bug 365662] New: Avatar of last changed user displays.

2016-07-14 Thread Piotr Kloc via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=365662

Bug ID: 365662
Summary: Avatar of last changed user displays.
   Product: plasmashell
   Version: 5.7.1
  Platform: Archlinux Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Application Launcher (Kickoff)
  Assignee: k...@davidedmundson.co.uk
  Reporter: pepk...@gmail.com
CC: plasma-b...@kde.org

Bob and Jane share a PC.
Bob logs it to his account and decides to change Jane's avatar in
systemsettings.
After applying settings he then proceeds to open up kickoff.
Kickoff then displays icon belonging to Jane.
He can override Jane's icon by changing his own.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Look at your avatar in kickoff
2. Change avatar of someone else
3. Enjoy not your avatar on your kickoff

Actual Results:
Wrong icon/avatar displayed.

Expected Results:
Do not set someone else's avatar on my kickoff.
