[dev-servo] Proposal: cancel the weekly meeting
I'd like to propose that we cancel the weekly meetings and move the discussions to an asynchronous medium (mailing list or GitHub Issues, as appropriate). As the project has matured and the team has grown, the weekly meeting has become less useful. We can't (and shouldn't!) make decisions there because neither the full team nor collaborators from the Gecko side have an opportunity to comment, and that's been reflected in the fact that we've either cancelled or basically had "status updates" in our last few months of meetings. Our current alternating meeting schedule also has no meeting time that is friendly to China Standard Time, which is a bit inconvenient as we attempt to grow the team. Where a face-to-face meeting is needed, I'd much rather schedule it ad-hoc for a convenient time for the subset of people who need to attend them. Opinions? ___ dev-servo mailing list dev-servo@lists.mozilla.org https://lists.mozilla.org/listinfo/dev-servo

Once I graduate I'll be back to a more ... human schedule and I won't be able to attend midnight meetings until I move. There is some overlap and I'm fine with late meetings once or twice a week but it would be great if it could be avoided. So yeah, +1 for cancelling. I do look forward to the meetings, since they give a nice overview of what's going on, but TWiS should be capable of filling in that gap and the meetings aren't happening anyway. -Manish Goregaokar ___ dev-servo mailing list dev-servo@lists.mozilla.org https://lists.mozilla.org/listinfo/dev-servo
