DO NOT REPLY [Bug 49834] New: HttpSessionListener is not getting called after user session timeouts
https://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=49834 Summary: HttpSessionListener is not getting called after user session timeouts Product: Tomcat 5 Version: 5.5.25 Platform: Sun OS/Version: Solaris Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: Servlet & JSP API AssignedTo: dev@tomcat.apache.org ReportedBy: brijesh.wa...@comit.ch CC: brijesh.wa...@comit.ch Hello, We are using a simple HttpSessionListener with sessionDestroyed method. However, we noticed that SessionDestroyed method is not called for all users after user session timeouts. We have placed a System.out.println in method to know for which users the event is getting called, but not all users listener is called. Unfortunately we do not have exact steps of replication because there is not pattern found for this issue. Is this a bug? Is thhis resolved with later release of tomcat. [Tomcat Wiki] Update of "Specifications" by RainerJung
Dear Wiki user, You have subscribed to a wiki page or wiki category on "Tomcat Wiki" for change notification. Therefore, rather than use "No" in the tables below "Highly unlikely" has been used. That said, highly unlikely means exactly that and users of versions that are highly unlikely to see another release, even for security fixes, should consider moving to a later version. + The specifications are developed and maintained by the [[http://www.jcp.org/|Java Community Process (JCP)]]. The members of the JCP are coming from software industry, other organizations like the Apache Software Foundation (ASF), educational institutions but include also indivual (personal) members. - It is anticipated that releases will be provided for a maximum of 3 major versions at any one time. + Each specifications starts its life as a so-called Java Specification Request JSR. The JSRs are also known by the unique number they receive once the specification process starts. On the web site of the JCP you can find an overview page for each spec, and a separate download page.
