Haven't been reading this list for long, have you ?? ;-) This is quite the popular topic... JHM Dassen has already pointed you in the right direction though, so I'll leave it at that. Good luck Hall

My own ignorance isn't in doubt! Maybe your post could have ended with "I don't know" as that's all that pertains to the original question... By the way, did I post correctly ?? I do hope so, lest I rub people the wrong way. Regards Hall

'apt-get upgrade' will install new packages if they're required by another package that you have installed (and is being 'upgraded'). This will happen if package 'A' now requires package 'B' when with the previous version it didn't. 'apt-get upgrade' will, of course, prompt you about the additional package(s). Hall

I'll have to find a package that has a new dependency vs what the old, installed package has and try it... If 'upgrade' doesn't do this, you will end up with a non-working program. Don't you agree ?? This page, http://www.linuxprinting.org/show_printer.cgi?recnum=HP-LaserJet_2200, has info on the '2200' model, but makes no mention of a 'd' suffix... Hall

Have the 'Reply-To' point to your e-mail address and let the responder decide whether it goes privately to you or to the list. Circumstances vary... Mail programs such as 'mutt' make this a rather simple thing to handle. Others sometimes don't. Regards Hall

Until they figured it out, they would have been receiving hundreds of 'messages' on their cell phone each day. They probably just had this service turned off. Regardless, a list admin should manually remove the account. Hall
