When you put the spare drive in it, it boots windows. Can you select which drive to boot from a bios menu? Hardware problem likely related to how you physically installed the drive. If it is IDE: If on its own cable, have it jumpered to "master" If on a cable with another drive, have: the drive jumpered "master" the CD-RW jumpered "slave" Problems can arrise if a hard drive (e.g. hda) is on a cable on its own but not jumpered either way. Do PCI modems show up in dmesg with what ttyS? they've been assigned? check dmesg and see what it says. Do you have a manual for this modem to tell you what serial parameters are default? Installed all according instructions. Sound juicer doesn't like to accept new format, but doing job well now. The new problem arised - nothing want to playback m4a. Are you on etch (stable) or lenny/sid (testing/unstable)? If you have the newer version of sound-juicer that is in lenny and sid, click edit -> preferences and then click on "edit profiles". There should be an aac profile. Select it and click edit and mark it as active. Close the windows until you are back to the original pref window. Then you should be able to select aac from the drop-down list. If you have an older version of sound-juicer from etch, you may have to create a new profile in a similar manner. It's probably possible to specify a range of ports rather than a single port. That's correct, check out these keys in gconf: /apps/gnome-btdownload/settings/min_port /apps/gnome-btdownload/settings/max_port [...] Would you be able, please, more details how to check that?

Hi, something has happened and now impossible to login Gnome as user. The last setting made by mine was Gnome panel settings change to autohide. But maybe this is not a reason. Installation of hard drive
Lads, would you be able to advice please, how to install a second hard drive which have preinstalled Windows. PC booting Windows after hard drive has been plugged in.
