Bug#489837: places annoying popup message on screen without permission
Package: kopete Version: 4:3.5.9-3 Kopete displays annoying popup messages on the screen when a connection is lost, even though there is nothing set in notifications to tell it to do so. This "feature" is extremely annoying as, if a person has an intermittent Internet connection (for example wireless), they will be incessantly be bombarded with popup messages about the services for various IM accounts being unable to connect. There are more graceful ways to interrupt users with such information such as flashing the system tray icon which would be an improvement, however it would be nice to be able to completely disable this type of notification. It should be assumed that kopete will always try to reconnect to services at reasonable time intervals unless it is told not to, so there is really no need for this sort of notification at all. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Bug#229018: Automatic Folder drag selection still happening (3.1.5)
Just thought I would report that this is still happening with the latest version 3.1.5 of Konqueror in Sid. -- Daniel
Bug#229018: upgraded xlibs...
saw the message here about it being reassigned to xlibs. did an upgrade of xfree86 including xlibs to 4.3.0-0pre1v5 and the bug is no longer happening
Bug#229018: still happening!
Okay, well one last post. I did upgrade xlibs and the problem did not occur for a couple of days. But it is now occuring again. Yes, very difficult to reproduce but once it starts happening it happens alot. I do not know how the problem could be related to xlibs if this sort of issue does not occur with other applications. I have not seen automatic selection occur with nautilis or any other apps that I use.
Bug#321660: After "Edit file type" "Open with" menu not refreshed
Package: konqueror Version: 3.3.2-1 After changing entries under "Edit file type" the "Open with" menu for a particular file type does not reflect the changes that were just made. If the default application to open a file type is changed and a file is left-clicked to open, it will open with the previous default application. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Bug#317098: Fix described earlier works
I too confirm this bug. When it crashes there is no output. Strace output also appeared to not be very useful. The fix mentioned above does work: If you are running Sid and have the kdelibs4 and kdelibs-bin version 3.3.2-7 installed: 1. go to snapshot.debian.net (http://snapshot.debian.net/archive/2005/05/24/debian/pool/main/k/kdelibs/) and get version 3.3.2-6.1 of both these packages. 2. Run dpkg -i kdelibs4_3.3.2-6.1_i386.deb It will fail to configure and give an error message about kdelibs-bin needing the later version. 3. Then run dpkg -i kdelibs-bin_3.3.2-6.1_i386.deb and you will get a similar message that it fails to configure. 4. Finally, run dpkg --configure --pending and both packages will be configured. Kmail should now work. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Bug#324893: Many kde packages not installable because of kdelibs

Bug#328893: No way to disable busy cursor
Package: konqueror Version: 3.4.2-2 When launching applications from konqueror, there is always a busy cursor. I am using Openbox window manager. In kcontrol I have "No theme" selected for cursor theme. I have all options for launch notification and launch feedback disabled. The busy cursor cannot be disabled and is very annoying as I cannot use the mouse properly to access some menus and close applications when it is active. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
