No, it's fine, you are not telling it which qt version you are requiring. Try qmake -qt5 -qtconf foo

Perhaps building a list of default applications by following the KDE InitialPreference field or something similar would be good enough and baking that into desktop-file-install or similar? Bug#878427: debhelper: Remove -nocache option from qmake buildsystem
Source: debhelper Version: 10.8 Severity: normal Tags: patch Hi! For some reason we don't know, as this files predates our time packaging Qt, the qmake buildsystem template in lib/Debian/Debhelper/Buildsystem/qmake.pm include the -nocache option by default. Truth is that the option should not be there, at least nowadays. Removing it will help us not only to be able to use the buildsystem to compile Qt itself (Qt submodules actually) but also is a big step forward into cross compiling Qt stuff. The transition is now about to start, therefore this bug is now RC. IIRC from the tests I've done in the previous weeks the version in experimental compiles fine with Opencv 3.2 (which is what we are transitioning to), no idea whether that's an acceptable move for you, but possibly easier than patching the current unstable version. -- regards, Mattia Rizzolo GPG Key: 66AE 2B4A FCCF 3F52 DA18 4D18 4B04 3FCD B944 4540 .''`. more about me: https://mapreri.org : :' : Launchpad user: https://launchpad.net/~mapreri `. `'` Debian QA page: https://qa.debian.org/developer.php?login=mattia `- signature.asc Description: PGP signature
