Bug#597296: (no subject)
The spaces bug has been fixed in more recent upstream versions. The latest version 0.5 removes support for Microsoft Office documents that do have a thumbnail stored in metadata. It thus does not depend on unoconv any more. I've hesitated to ask for sponsorship for the latest version, partly because the slow experience isn't very motivating, and partly because I hadn't tested GNOME 3 integration in Debian yet. --- ooo-thumnbailer depends on libgsf-bin. The reason it contains a "Replaces: libgsf-bin" line is because it overwrites one of its files: /usr/share/gconf/schemas/gsf-office-thumbnailer.schemas libgsf-bin_1.14.18-1 ships this file, but libgsf-bin_14.25-1 no longer ships this file, so the "Replaces" line should no longer be necessary. (BTW, the latest version is not "from Ubuntu". The Launchpad project for ooo-thumbnailer should be considered the upstream source. Ubuntu inherits its package from Debian.) -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact listmas...@lists.debian.org
Bug#639536: homebank's description should include the word "money"
Package: homebank Version: 4.3-1 Searching for the word "money" should return money-related applications. This ought to include homebank. I suggest that the Description field in its control file include the word "money" somewhere. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Bug#557914: ooo-thumbnailer: uses pythonX.Y/site-packages for Python >= 2.6
ooo-thumbnailer 0.2-1, which is still waiting for sponsorship, fixes this bug. However, it doesn't do it in the same way you did it, Jakub Wilk. Could your review it for me? I've already posted a RFS at the debian-python mailing list. signature.asc Description: This is a digitally signed message part
Bug#557914: ooo-thumbnailer: spurious use of python-central
I've removed all python build dependencies from the package, in ooo-thumbnailer_0.2-2. It's waiting for sponsorship. > I didn't see any your mail at debian-python mailing list, but did see > your RFS at debian-ment...@lists.debian.org, and the same concern was > raised that worries me: build dependency on python helpers is spurious > and should be dropped. > Sorry, my mistake, I meant debian-mentors' mailing list. signature.asc Description: This is a digitally signed message part
Bug#597296: ooo-thumbnailer: Problem with space character
This issue should have been fixed in ooo-thumbnailer 0.3.1, which is still waiting for sponsorship in mentors.debian.net. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact listmas...@lists.debian.org
Bug#491456: unoconv: UnoException during conversion: URL seems to be an unsupported one.
I had exactly the same error: unoconv: UnoException during conversion: URL seems to be an unsupported one. The provided document cannot be converted to the desired format. Installing openoffice.org-java-common and openoffice.org-base-core did not fix it, however, installing openoffice.org-writer did. I needed to install openoffice.org-calc for spreadsheets and openoffice.org-impress for presentations. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Bug#659321: Fix for Gnome 3
Hello folks, Thank you for your efforts, bug reporting and triaging. I am the author of ooo-thumbnailer and the Debian maintainer for this package. There have been several barriers to continuing my work on it, and for this reason I will be orphaning this package so that another maintainer can step in. I apologise for the long delay. Bug#988702: ooo-thumbnailer: Orphaning this package
Package: ooo-thumbnailer Version: 0.2-5.2 Severity: normal Dear Debian maintainers, I no longer wish to be marked as the maintainer of this Debian package. Could someone mark this package as orphaned? Thank you.
Bug#988703: O: ooo-thumbnailer -- thumbnailer for OpenOffice.org documents
Package: wnpp Severity: normal I would like to orphan the package ooo-thumbnailer. It has been years since I have been able to devote any attention to it.
Bug#988709: RM: ooo-thumbnailer -- RoQA; orphaned, abandoned upstream
I'm the former maintainer of ooo-thumbnailer in Debian, and the upstream author. This project is no longer maintained or developed upstream. I agree with deleting it from Debian unstable.
Bug#988702: Acknowledgement (ooo-thumbnailer: Orphaning this package)
Deletion of this package from Debian unstable has been requested. See https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=988709
Bug#988703: Acknowledgement (O: ooo-thumbnailer -- thumbnailer for OpenOffice.org documents)

Bug#958292: pipenv: Change tagline to no longer endorse it as official
Package: pipenv Version: 11.9.0-1 Severity: minor The description of the Debian package pipenv says: > Python's officially recommended packaging tool > > Pipenv is the officially recommended Python packaging tool from > Python.org. This is may be misleading. Pipenv is not the officially recommended tool by Python core developers. Rather, it was recommended by PyPA documentation for a while. PyPA are a group of volunteers who care about packaging in Ubuntu, they are not in a position to bless a package as "official" or "from python.org". See this article, the section entitled: "“Officially recommended tool”, or how we got here". https://chriswarrick.com/blog/2018/07/17/pipenv-promises-a-lot-delivers-very-little/#officially-recommended-tool-or-how-we-got-here The tagline has been changed upstream. The GitHub repo now says: > Python Development Workflow for Humans. See: https://github.com/pypa/pipenv And so does the page on PyPI, see https://pypi.org/project/pipenv/ I think Debian should follow suit and change the tagline in the Debian package description.
