I can confirm that xevie works on Gutsy x86_32 but does not work on
Hardy x86_32, http://www.freedesktop.org/~ajax/xevie/xevie-test.txt
doesn't return from the call to XevieStart(dpy).

Using libx11-6 2:1.1.3-1ubuntu2 (Hardy) XevieStart() does not return
this causes issues for mumble and possible other accessible software.
Downgrading to libx11-6_1.1.1-1ubuntu4_i386.deb fixes the xevie
extension.

I have WPA working with a agere/orinoco card the steps required are:
1. Use a 2.6.28 (or above) kernel (I am using linux-image-2.6.28-11-generic
from Jaunty 9.04 on an Intrepid system).
2. Copy "agere_sta_fw.bin" (the uncorrupted 65046 bytes version) into
/lib/firmware/

The agere_sta_fw.bin file was indeed corrupted (it was 89729 bytes long) I used
recode to fix the file and now I have working WPA (not WPA2 though) with the
agere/hermes card and linux-image-2.6.28-11-generic.

appear that simply swapping the MinY and MaxY values xorg.conf fixes
this issue. I would like to try this driver in Lucid as I am having
problems the mutouch driver in Karmic using the propriatry ati driver.
