Same problem with Logitech, Inc. QuickCam Express (ID 046d:0920), and
sometimes, when I try to use it, system freeze completely.
I'm using Jaunty with kernel 2.6.28-11-generic.

Same problem with HP Pavilion notebook dv6-1110ss, sound not works in
ubuntu 9.04, but the driver are correct and pavumeter and other

I've noticed that when the computer is idle, it tries to lock the
screen, but a few seconds later, it returns to the desktop.
There seems to be some process that prevents the screen lock when it
occurs.

Good news, i find the issue, the problem are the gnome extensions, back
up your .local/share/gnome-shell/ data and erase all your extensions,
restart the shell and try to lock screen (it works for me).
After, install one by one extensions and, for each, try lock screen
since find the buggie extens
Hi again, in my case, Dash-to-panel is the guilty, installed by
synaptic... removing it and installing from Gnome.org solve the problem.
