Hi
Well, in my view this should be bundled with the wish (demand) to allow
illegal moves (kids games - illegal move in time scramble). It will surely
demand a few changes, but I think it should be possible to flag a game as
illegal, thereby basically dropping every kind of legality check for the
whole game.

This does pose some problems regarding play-through and game-score
(basically every move should thus be described with a "square-from" -
"square-to" notation). I'm afraid it would mean a considerable increase in
"number-of-bits-per-ply" for these games in the database, but then again
most of us wouldn't need it very often.
