Sorry if this is obvious and has already been mentioned - but doesn't 4.2.2
use a different db file format to 3.6.1? In which case if Brian is going to
switch between 3.6 and 4.2 - whether accidentally or deliberately - then
he'll need to backup up his 3.6 databases so he has a non-updated copy for
the old install.
