I would like to use miniRTL with nfs too.
But, looking the miniRTL kernel .config file, you can read:
# CONFIG_LOCKD is not set
Without this option set you can not install nfs.o Therefore I have
tried to compile other kernel, but I have got another problem so it is not
working yet.
I would like to know if it is possible to use nfs without install
nfs.o... if not, try to recompile your kernel.
The miniRTL kernel .config file should be a good starting point. I
dont know if it is available on the miniRTL page/.gz file, if it is not I
can send it to you (Mr. Nicholas McGuire has sent it to me).
I wont have time to work on it this week, if you have sucess let
me know, please!

In my machine:
% nm lockd.o | grep nlmclnt_proc
00000028 ? __kstrtab_nlmclnt_proc_R05b69af3
00000010 ? __ksymtab_nlmclnt_proc_R05b69af3
00000308 T nlmclnt_proc_R05b69af3
