Hi Louis,

in fact I really did a fresh install of RH8.0 too.

What happens is that the fonts that xemacs uses do not seem to match with what
xfontsel displays, the characters are tiny, ugly and vertically compressed.
And I can't get xemacs to use the common "Luxi Sans" font. When I ask for it
in the "Options" menu, I get something terrible and emacs shows "Font -*-Luxi
Sans-medium-r-*-*-*-130-*-*-*-*-iso8859-*" in the minibuffer, which (130 pts)
doesn't exist according to xfontsel!

Similarly the fonts that appear on the initial log screen do not use
anti-aliasing. All in all since I've installed RH8, QT apps look really find
while other apps look ugly.

Just to know, does anyone in here has had e.g. xemacs looking okay, I mean
*normal*, under RH8 + KDE3.0 ?

Thanks for any ideas (I know very little about fonts btw).
