Hi Christian,Hello, after having upgraded my system to RedHat 8.0 + KDE 3.0.5 I'm having lots of problems with fonts:- No Adobe fonts appear in the KDE font control module anymore, although the module insists on using "Helvetica 12" for window titles. - The fonts used by KDE applications (Luxi Sans I guess) are ok but Xemacs is completely messed up (huge fonts for menus, ugly font for text, etc). I can't seem to get the same font non-KDE apps as for KDE apps.
I posted a message a while back about this, and had no response. I believe it was the same, if not a similar problem.
Mine was a fresh RH8 system, rather than an upgrade, but I did find that GTK applications (X-Chat, GIMP, and I believe Xemacs is also GTK) all displayed the same horrendously large font with double-spacing between characters.
Is this what you are experiencing?
Surely there must be someone out there that knows what's going on!
