I suggest you read up on mailing list etiquette.

HTML is severely disliked by all.

Also Mr. Day is probably the most helpful person I know, just not to people
who don't help themselves.

I'm sure you posting in HTML contributed to setting him off and him assuming
you were a newbie.

Although it may have seemed an elitist attitude, please understand that over
200 mails from this list come through to us every day. Although we'd all
love to answer every single mail, we simply have to weed out the stuff that
can be answered by a simple google search or stuff that can be found at the
documentation project.

Other than all that, welcome to the list.
