I have RedHat Linux 7.3 working well on my mail relay server. I want to install Spam Assassin and have been advised to first upgrade Sendmail to 8.12.5 or .6.
It would be much easier for me to do this with a RPM. In fact, that's about the only way I currently know how to install packages, since I'm a Linux newbie. Anyway, I can download RPM's from RedHat for Sendmail 8.12.5-7, but these are supposedly just for RH Linux 8.0. Here's my questions: Does anyone know where I can obtain RPM's for Sendmail 8.12.5 or .6 for RH Linux 7.3? If I can't get any aforementioned RPM's for RH 7.3, should I upgrade the server to RH 8.0 - or - What alternative method is there for installing newer versions of Sendmail on my existing RH 7.3?
