You failed to mention what release of sendmail your using. Since your
running RH-7.2, I'll assume your using sendmail-8.11.x. If that's the case: 

type: sendmail -q 

although, sendmail will try to resend these e-mails automatically based on
the queue interval specifed at startup. So running the above command is
really not necessary. BTW: The queue internal is typically specified in
/etc/sysconfig/sendmail.
