Just caught this thread, so this may have been mentioned, but here's an
idea.

Check what's in /etc/hosts.deny and /etc/hosts.allow?  Is it possible
tcp-wrappers is blocking access to imapd?

this shows imap as on

This is what I get back.  Any ideas?
